The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

What a gem! Having driven by this place a number of times, I finally had an opportunity to pop in this Saturday afternoon. A friendly, welcoming place full of happy dogs, happy people and tasty home cooked food.

When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant. A few minutes after we arrived someone the waitress knew arrived and got priority. I did not mind them being served before us but I did object to waiting 15 minutes for my change while the waitress had a conversation with the people she knew. I told her that was not acceptable and she said sorry I got involved in a conversation, when I said that is fine but you could have given me my change first, her response was I am on my own, my response was you had ;2 couples and you favoured the other one. I have eaten there on many occasions and never experienced such poor service so maybe there is a training issue here.

Visitamos aquí en un viaje reciente a Londres y nos encantó : ) Tenía la pila de desayuno y mi marido tenía el hachís chorizo. Ambos eran muy agradables! El servicio era muy extraño y ningún personal tenía uniforme puesto, así que era difícil saber cómo pedir nada - por lo que esta puede ser una zona para mejorar? Sin embargo, recomendaría!

We went here with our friends from Stockton Heath. The food was really lovely and a great atmosphere. We were waited on by Anna who was very knowledgable about the food and the wines. She was also very friendly and smiley 😊

Such a lovely all round evening, the staff were so available and professional, the facility is completely authentic and in pristine condition, the stringed orchestra was absolutely impeccable. We were treated by my Daughter and future Son in Law and couldn't have a more perfect evening. The food was 1st class but the main portion was too big ... as if that's a complaint! Stands up as one of the best nights out in Wirral.

Advertised as Fish Finger and Tartar Sauce Panini which sounded good but what was served was extremely poor. Poor quality fish finger with grey fish, cheap panini, limp salad with low cost tasteless frozen chips. I wouldnt serve that meal to a child never mind ask for money for it! To add further insult 2 x fish panini meal, tea & a water cost just short of £26.00 which is absolutely shocking! Definitely won’t be returning

Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend and gutted I don’t live closer. Will visit again when in Edinburgh

Pastel y pastelería no era fresco, el café era como si hubieran añadido café al agua caliente. No fue nada bueno. Las porciones eran demasiado pequeñas. No se sirven servilletas con la comida.

Hemos estado en Alter Ego cada mes durante el último año desde que fuimos por primera vez un par de semanas antes de casarnos y nunca decepciona. La comida es deliciosa, muy bien presentada y de gran valor. Hicimos la degustación de vinos una vez, que también fue de gran valor y muy divertido. El servicio es de primera clase y toda la experiencia es relajada, de alta calidad y relajada. Cada menú es variado y diferente y te sientes como si tuvieras un verdadero sabor de Italia. ¡Magnífico!

El grupo de nosotros (estudiantes) apreciado principalmente el precio de la comida. Sin embargo, las hamburguesas eran normales. Para la próxima vez que iría a otro restaurante de hamburguesas en Brighton. Sin embargo, el personal era muy amable.

We visited Cleethorpes between Christmas and New Year. We came across this place and loved it. Simple menu of pizza and drinks. A refreshing change from fish n chips at the seaside. We were so happy to find it open at 4pm on a Monday evening

We visited as a table of 8 for a works do. Great food, portions are huge and everyone's meals were tasty. We all had starters and mains with drinks and it was very reasonably priced. Service was fast however could be a bit more friendly and remember to smile. Other than that would highly recommend to visit

I use them all the time, lovely food, orders always correct, delivery drivers are lovely, fantastic.

Good variety of snacks and meals, friendly environment. I would recommend the place for the start of the day or an afternoon relaxation.
