I wanted to try a local restaurant different to the nearby Premier Inn where I was staying. I went for a walk and chanced upon this Indian restaurant in Belsize lane. I don't often eat Indian food and i wanted try to try something different. I thought it was fantastic - best restaurant experience I have had for ages. The staff were very friendly and I thought the service was terrific. Really good value for money too. I ordered Punjabi Samosa with Popadom as a starter, Chicken Jalfrezi curry for the main dish with plain rice and garlia and coriander naan. Finished with pistachio icre cream dessert and all washed wond with a couple of Cobra beers. Couldn't fault anything - highly recommended if you are looking for a bite to eat in the Belsize park area.

Beautiful lamb Shabag and outstanding lemon rice, very polite staff, wish we could go for another meal but distance will prevent this for now. Thank you Deb and Alan Perth Australia

We ordered via Deliveroo and then telephoned to confirm that our order would be gluten free. Our order arrived with two items that contained gluten! This is poor customer service and should not have happened. In addition having called in to say that we were gluten free, this was clearly ignored and topping up the rice portion would have been a kind gesture towards keeping customers happy - and yet there was no consideration and gluten items were added instead. Total order exceeding £35 and was not worth it at all. Woodlands Hampstead please review your practises and policies because they are losing you customers as is your attitude. FYI - had we eaten the gluten items we would have been very ill. You need to pay attention to allergies or don't produce a gluten free menu.
