Back from holiday, and visited my favourite restaurant , as soon as possible. It was during “the Crieff food festival”, and my wife and I both had the fish pie. I would not recommend anyone having fish pie anywhere else again after the fish pie at G’s bistro. You would always be trying to compare, but that would be impossible. We have never (truthfully) had anything other than perfection, ambience, service, happiness all around.

My husband and I came across this little bakery yesterday whilst visiting Burntisland. What a gem it is. We bought 2 sweet treats and OMG!!!! We will definitely be back to try your sourdough bread. Lovely lady served us too x

We tried The Crepe Shack at The Scottish Deer Centre. Crepe's are made to order, fresh, staff are friendly, it cost £5.25 for a Nutella and Banana Crepe. It was really good. We shared this as a family, passing it around for bite until it was gone and it served as a lovely sweet snack which broke up our time exploring the Centre. We would purchase from them again.

Couldn't ask for a better meal than at Achray House. The chef has to be commended for the fabulous food on offer here.

Visiting Montrose for the first time as my partner’s mother has just moved there. She found this bakery on a 10 best website in Montrose and we walked down to try it. A five minute walk from the centre, it is a lovely and bright little shop with a few sets of tables to eat in and a beautiful display of different flavours of tart and a selection of cakes. I’ve now visited twice in two days and had hot chocolate, flat white, salmon and spinach tart, raspberry and vanilla cheesecake, lemon and blueberry cake, and pistachio and chocolate brownie. This may sound slightly greedy but trust me, it was all worth it! Highly recommend for takeaway or eat in. Friendly and chatty staff, a family run business that also sell at local farmers markets.

Incredibly fast service. Almost too fast, really, as we were there to relax, but we're in and out in under 50mins. It took us longer to drive there, although to eat! Puds - lemon tart, best we've ever had. Menu ok, but not as good as it was. There are few alternatives to fish dishes and vegetarian dish (singular option) uninspired. Staff were cheery and polite but just all too quick. We felt hurried.

Visited 2 nights during a stop over in Comrie before heading to Fort William. What can I say amazing food yet again. Both nights we tried a different dish and both nights we very pleased. Excellent food and flavours. Katy & Brian run and amazing restaurant.

Service is stunning! . . . all staff we met were knowledgeable, elegantly gracious, polished yet discreetly unobtrusive. Our server, Callum, provided a proficiently responsive service. The food is ambrosial! . . . comprising seasonal dishes, locally sourced, innovatively crafted, into delectable blends of colours, textures and flavours. For example: Partridge, Pork Cheek, Red Wine & Beetroot Risotto, Garden Kale. Yummy! The layout, decor and outside garden provide a relaxed, stylish environment.

Fantastic staff and lovely steak pie. Compliments to Jay the waiter for his welcoming manner and communication skills and one of the chefs Martyn for asking me if my meal was satisfactory. It was. More than.
