Couldn't ask for a better meal than at Achray House. The chef has to be commended for the fabulous food on offer here.

We have been lucky enough to be involved as this lovely business born out of Covid/ lockdown gets underway! Ryan is a young, highly experienced chef and has been prepared to work hard to share his love of food. So far we have had three deliveries of delightful three course dinners - each meal well-balanced and imaginative. There is very little to do and all the instructions/timings work out perfectly! We have had salmon wellington, lamb navarine, wild garlic soup with feta balls, lemon cheesecake, chocolate ganache, sticky toffee pudding, and so it goes on! 🥰 I also ordered the chicken Parmesan kids’ pack and it was totally delicious. We got some apple and pear chutney and some lamb sausages which are such high quality too. Ryan butchers his own meat which is very high quality!

Visited 2 nights during a stop over in Comrie before heading to Fort William. What can I say amazing food yet again. Both nights we tried a different dish and both nights we very pleased. Excellent food and flavours. Katy & Brian run and amazing restaurant.

Lovely meal at Café Tabou with a couple of friends. Excellent starters and meals all around, with a delicious bisque presented artfully, and delectable mains. We had the daily special, which was deliciously tender turkey, served with sprouts and mashed potatoes, with lamb jus. Desserts were fantastic, from the highly recommended bread pudding, to the crêpes Suzette (that is lit on fire!!), and crème brulée. We managed to get a table on a particularly busy night, despite it being a weeknight! In the future though, I would probably reserve a table. (4 stars for atmosphere because it's a bit too dark, as evidenced by the photo of my main, below)

We started with the mussels and baked Camembert, and then had the Barnsley lamb and confit Duck all of which was delicious. Service was excellent too. Oh, and they have Cromarty brewery Ghost Town which you can hardly get anywhere so that in itself was worth the trip! Only minor issue was that we were sitting at one of the four wee tables in the middle and we felt very squashed in. Maybe if there were only three tables it might feel a bit more spacious?
