Great food, nice atmosphere and great service ! After yet another happy dinner with friends tonight, I decided it was high time I put a good review. Thank you Chez Jules and your staff, especially Endina who went out of her way to help me present the birthday cake to my celebrating friends. Greatly appreciated by the Greek lady whom you helped so much. Beautiful Hungary has beautiful people.

I have given 5 stars for Atmosphere and 5 stars for Service thanks to William who was Amazing ! Very friendly and attentive and made the evening very special for me and my partner. My stars for food is 4 because there were not many choices for Vegetarians. Thanks to William I was able to combine something to actually eat something. Again, thanks to him we had a nice evening and what we ate and drank was tasty. Thanks. ICC, Edinburgh

We came for a birthday dinner for my husband but sadly we were both underwhelmed by the food. The snacks to start were delicious but not all dishes that followed were as successful. Some of the flavours of the dishes were a little jarring but two of the dishes were actually difficult to eat. My Cornish bluefin tuna, rather than being melt in the mouth, was tough to cut through and the white tendon was still in place which wasn’t chewable so I had to spit it out. It was also served with small discs of radish which were raw, so the whole dish was off, even though the ponzu dressing was tasty. Ordinarily this would have been my favourite. The main course was squab pigeon but was served with the wing, including foot and claws, so was a bit too much reality for me and made us feel sad about the food rather than joyful. The waitress weirdly made a point of highlighting which bit was the heart as ‘she’d like to know what she was eating,’ so I don’t even think she was on board with this dish. To be fair to the restaurant we were given the chance to review the menu when having pre dinner drinks and we were asked if we had any comments. I can’t recall however whether this detail was in there. The wine flight however was really good with some really interesting selections such as the dessert wine with rose water. The sommelier at least had a bit of personality. Overall due to us not enjoying a couple of dishes and not bowled over by the rest, we came away feeling disappointed and not value for money. Sadly the foot is all I can think about!!
