Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon, 60-100£
21/07/2019: I saw the reviews for the restaurant and decided to spoil myself.
19/07/2019: We were looking forward to the tasting menu as we enjoy gastronomic experiences. Perhaps we were expecting too much from an hotel restaurant, after all two nights ago we enjoyed an amazing tasting menu at a Michelin started restaurant in Amsterdam. We love the hotel and were excited to try the chef’s best. Our experience started on a low note, when the wine I wanted from the ‘ by the glass’ portion of the wine list was unavailable. They had it, but couldn’t open the bottle. I settled for what was possibly the most bland gewürztraminer I have ever tasted and my husband’s Malbec was so bad he refused the glass and he loves Malbecs. It’s not so much the food was bad; the mushroom bisque that came with the amuse bouche was delicious, but the amuse bouche was itself forgettable as was most of the meal. Each dish was either missing acid or seasoning, and in most of them the separate components did not make a composed dish. The pigeon was chewy and the lamb cutlet undercooked. And two very sweet desert courses with similar flavor profiles finished the meal. While there was no *bad* dish (just bad Malbec!) there was nothing memorable or exciting about the entire menu... except the mushroom bisque. I will have to add some lemon the next time I make mushroom soup. A tasting menu should give you new flavor/texture combinations, something new and unique. I would recommend Chef take some time and experience his menu in its entirety and try to find that perfect bite. As his menu is now, I doubt he can.

Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
22/07/2019: This is an amazing lounge, it has everything one cloud want in a lounge. Beautiful setting, great food and wine, table service, friendly staff and it’s never over crowded. I love it!
14/07/2019: The other reason for flying "upper class" through London is definitely the Clubhouse lounge. It is very comfortable and mainly the service is first class as well. The only downside is that i.e. in Miami, the lounge is not very attractive. Naturally it is because of combining with Delta......

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
21/07/2019: The people in the hotel are so wonderful, they can really make the difference between a pleasant stay and a terrible one. The food is always good, the price reasonable and the services is second to none!
11/07/2019: Enjoyed dinner here on two evenings and enjoyed both. First night I ordered the wood fired pizza, whilst it’s not the best pizza I have ever had, it was nice and tasty. The next time I ordered the butter chicken. It was delivered to my table before I even received my wine, so clearly not made to order. However despite the super fast delivery it was very tasty, the chicken was tender. Wasn’t so keen on the piece of bark or what ever it was in my rice but putting that aside the rice was decent and the naan was tasty. Meal sizes were on the large size, couldn’t eat it all.

Sipson Tandoori Restaurant

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon, >100£
22/07/2019: Had a fantastic meal at Sipson Tandoori. Food and service was top quality as I expected before selecting the place.
17/07/2019: Our favourite go to for a takeaway although it’s known to be expensive it’s worth it the quality and service is impeccable.

Northwood, Hillingdon
13/07/2019: This was our second visit to Lomito, and once again not disappointed by the service, range of dishes or quality of food - all dishes were cooked to perfection. I’m sure we will be visiting again.
26/06/2019: Took my boyfriend to Lomito for his 28th birthday and we had such an amazing meal. The steak is honestly to die for. We both had a medium 300g fillet steak, and it was truly the best steak we’ve both ever eaten. We found ourselves sitting there saying ‘mm’ after every mouthful! Honestly recommend, can’t wait to go back!

Uxbridge South, Hillingdon
21/07/2019: Many evenings spent here catching up with friends. Always consistently good food, clean restaurant and good service
30/05/2019: Excellent visit. We were well looked after during our visit by Diana who put up with our group and sorted out our complicated bill. Highly recommended

Cintia's Cafe

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
07/05/2019: Lovely staff great food and wide choice of menu. Adapts to suit son's allergy. We missed them after the fire and are so glad it's the same people. Definite value for money
05/05/2019: I love this cafe within Ansells garden centre and go a couple of times a week. Its spotlessly clean and bright with a good menu and serves good size portions. There is a good selection of cakes and they can arrange afternoon tea.The staff are really nice and friendly. In nice weather there are tables outside. A great place to have coffee or lunch with friends and do a bit of shopping for the garden as well.

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
19/07/2019: We visited with family.Horrible for vegetarians. We ordered poppadams. We were charged for the poppadams and separately for the chutney dips too - separately for each of us. 5 poppadams resulted in £11 added to the bill! Paneer Tikka was covered with red color and undercooked. We had also ordered Mushroom Tikka - 4 tiny mushrooms were served on a bed of uncooked onions. Do not recommend at all, especially if you are a vegetarian.
18/07/2019: My favourite restaurant around Heathrow. Excellent and quick service. Food was very good, good selection of dips with popadoms. Four of us ate here and we were all very pleased.

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
21/07/2019: Brought my ‘Italian wife’ (she should be so unlucky) here for a late lunch, prior to driving her into London for some business meetings, followed by shopping (I was glad to be missing both -especially the latter - ‘....and no, your posterior does not look too big in that trouser suit/pair of jeans etc.’)
19/07/2019: Had dinner here as alternative to eating in the hotel again. Was last here about five years ago and seem to remember it was a bit better then. Maybe that's just me. Not that this was bad; just very average and slightly old-fashioned, as Indian restaurants are 20 years ago, still using standard catering sauces. Service was on the grumpy side.

Gurkhas' Pride

West Ruislip, Hillingdon, 20-30£
04/06/2019: Lovely tikka masala and mixed grill. No complaints !! Staff were friendly and nice enough, place was clean .. fairly priced too😀
19/05/2019: This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We were only in London for a couple of days but had to make our way back here. The food is absolutely amazing and they have Cobra on tap. It had been 3 months since our last visit but the owner remembered us which was nice. We tried the chicken pathia, bhindi masala, Bombay aloo, butter naan, and the chili paneer. Everything was fresh and delicious. We highly recommend this place.

Zaza Ruislip

West Ruislip, Hillingdon, 30-45£
24/06/2019: Very good food, excellent deserts. A good place to meet with friend maybe not to have a meaningful conversation because it was quite loud due to some other guests. However we will get back because the food is really good. I had a salmon steak and that was very delicious. Hence thumbs up.
19/06/2019: I have eaten at Zazas many times and it is one of my favourite restaurants.

The Plough

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon
19/07/2019: I went there to meet friends who were flying from Bulgaria to New York and they had a 24h layover in London. So we met there and of course seeing my old friends was awesome and we all had a great time that evening. But it was not because the food was good, or because the place was really nice. No, the place was messy, the outside tables were dirty, the food was blah. I ordered a meat pie, but I got a gulash soup in a dish that came with a puffpastry top. I have only lived in England for 9 months but even I know this was not a meat pie. And the toiletts were just disgusting. and what is with all the smoking. Also the glasses were cloudy, and the cutlery was dirty. Overall, very disapointing because on the website it looked liek a British pub but it really was not. I picked it because of the environment so my friends could see what an English pub was like, yeah but that sure did not happen. On top of all, the food was too expensive for the low quality.
13/07/2019: Used to come here all the time as the food was amazing... this time unfortunately it was so terrible that I do not wish to come back... we had the pork ribs which used to be mouth watering now all we could eat was the terrible powder mash potatoes and the salad... the ribs as you can see are full of sauce and it was salty and over cooked and just terrible.. we have left the food on the table and when we told the staff that the food was terrible they were telling us why we haven’t informed them before... but we have and they listened..the staff needs to up their customers service as they all look lost and don’t understand the basic requests... very disappointed it was an amazing pub with amazing food now it went down the drain... I have given one star but it doesn’t even deserve that.... if you know the taste of food do not eat here.... the pub is good for drink with an amazing garden... the toilets are really bad but it was always like this... do not eat the food here... I wake up in the morning feeling sick and really bad diarrhoea... it’s not worth it

Madhu's Heathrow

Heathrow Villages, Hillingdon, 30-45£
22/07/2019: Stopped at the Sheraton Heathrow and had dinner at the Indian restaurant there - was an unexpected surprise! We were expecting hotel food but instead were treated to a delicious gourmet Indian feast! We ordered the fixed menu where you get to to taste all the popular dishes and it was all amazing! Highly recommend this place!
17/07/2019: Had an overnighter pre flying out and some family who live in London come out for dinner. Wasn’t expecting anything great and this was FANTASTIC - my sister who has lived in London for 30 years said it was the best Indian meal she has had. Our waiter Clyde was wonderful and helped make the evening

Cedar Tree

Manor, Hillingdon
06/06/2019: The food was generally of decent standard and pleasant staff. One of the things we ordered was hummus shawarma which had a lot of bones in the lamb which you wouldn’t expect to be there since it is sliced and then reformed. I ended up chipping my tooth on one. I told the waiter what had happened and he apologised but even though we had left the dish uneaten was still charged for it. I didnt say anymore as I didn’t feel it was worth the argument over the sake of £6-£7. Definitely would not return after that as dinner has just cost about £250 at the dentist to get my tooth fixed.
18/04/2019: Wonderful food delivery. Hot and very tasty. Generous portion sizes and delivered within the time I was advised at the point of order.

Remo's Village

Cavendish, Hillingdon
19/07/2019: First time to this lovely little family run restaurant, they had some very unusual starters, the vegetarian pasta was really tasty but the tiramisu was amazing
10/06/2019: Looking for somewhere to have an evening meal, I decided to give 'Remo's Village' a go. After having a very good experience, I went back a couple of weeks later and found my first impressions confirmed.
