The best restaurants serving Default food in Pickering Kingston upon Hull, City of Yorkshire and The Humber

AVOID! Okay, now I could contact the shop and complain but then how would it get this out there. Now I had wrote a totally glowing review about Godfather Express a few months ago as this was my goto takeaway and I was so loyal to this place and ordered regularly up to this evening. Ordered Smokehouse Parmesan and I usually buy a pizza but don't fancy one this evening so browsing the menu there are clearly "fries" and also "chips" mentioned on there. I saw chip butty and the illustration also shows proper chips so I ordered. What I got was not chips but fries in a dry burger bun with huge amount of chip spice on. The dry mess is now in the bin, even the dogs didn't want it. The Smokehouse Parmesan was my wife's goto, she's had loads of these from here and when she got this evenings, they have not only cut portion sizes down but the quality too. There have always been 2 pieces of chicken in it, today there was just the one piece, the bacon has been swapped out for thin slithers of ham and hardly any BBQ sauce. I've spent £100's here over the years but no more. It's not the first time, I ordered a pizza from there during the week last week as I was home alone, paid for a stuffed cheesy crust and what I got was certainly not stuffed, there was hardly any cheese in the crust and a quarter of the pizza had no cheese in the crust at all. Sorry guys but if your going to drop quality and quantity and also keep the prices at the higher end for what was purchased, you need to realise that Hull is takeaway capital and there's many alternatives to go to that are decent. Its been a good run after 8yrs of using you but enough is enough. Good job there's 5 alternatives within a 3minutes drive.

Me and my partner both ate here during our stay using a voucher of £50 that the hotel provided us with. The food was very good, tasty and we had a decent portion - we both said we would eat there again.

I booked a lunch in advance for 4 people when I was competing at the nearby Costello stadium. When we went to the Snackery it was closed with no note of explanation!! No contact has been made since and I will never visit this place again!!

Accidentally ordered for the wrong time but thankfully came a little early, delivery lady was lovely and friendly too :) food all cooked and correct order but actually just had no flavour at all, was very bland but fresh and hot

Very nice overall except for the batter on fish far to thick, undercooked and sloppy on the inside. Chips excellent as was the mushy peas. If they get the batter right it would certainly be one of the best chippies going.

Ordered double chilli cheese burger with chips Chips where soggy so they went in the bin My only regret was not ordering 2 burgers. As it was the dogs bollocks. And I'm a very picky eater and speak my mind Definitely will be ordering another Burger from them Cheers Guys 👍🏻 🌟🌟UPDATE🌟🌟 Just had the best most enjoyable burger EVER.. And it was Double chillie cheeseburger.. Straight in on my TOP 3 of the best burgers in Hull....

Worst Sunday dinner ever. 45 minute wait in an near empty restaurant. Serving lady… apologised for her Miscommunication. Easily forgiven but then the food arrived. See pictures. 2 tiny halves of roast potatoes. You think it’s a Generous beef portion until you see its half fat & gristle. Green beans not cooked and not trimmed. Carrot shavings burnt. Mush… had to ask what it was. Overcooked cauliflower cheese. Yorkshire pudding cardboard. We joined the gym and a free Sunday lunch was an inducement. Didn’t realise it was a more a punishment. Head chef should be disgusted with this offering. Not the poor girl left to serve it. We have another free Sunday lunch but we will not be going. No food is better than this. I ate around the fat & gristle. 2 tiny halves of potatoes. Half cardboard Yorkshire. This was I left in the pictures. Judge for yourself. My poor husband tried to eat more. He was starving. Wouldn’t of eaten at all but my diabetes had gone haywire waiting so long to eat. Ps. This normally costs £16.50 each. I won’t go again even if it’s free.

Tan decepcionado como sonaba bien, pero las patatas fritas de pizza estaban tan secos en los bordes que estaban pegados a la lata y sin salsa de tomate que esperábamos con las patatas fritas de pizza eran muy secos y en su mayoría no comestible que fue la destrucción del alma en más de £ 10 para un crear su propio con 3 coberturas. La envoltura con el kebab de pollo era como cartón y ciertamente no estaba envolviendo nada más que su propio funeral y mi hijo dijo que su calzone estaba bien, pero no estaba muy "lleno" y no era tan sabroso como nuestro habitual sacar en hessle. No volveríamos a pedir ya que la mayoría de la comida no era comestible y el resto estaba por debajo de la media, pero no estaba por debajo de la media en precio desafortunadamente. Lástima ya que en realidad está a 2 minutos de nuestra casa y podría haber sido un habitual 😕

ordered chicken freid rice, got a call 20 minutes later sayying they were out of it, me being polite said thags okay can i just cancel my order he then kept repeating different things off the menu to replace the rice, after me repeating no cervril times and asking to just cancle the order he then asked me why and put the phone down on me. Completely rude.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my recent experience. I ordered some food and unfortunately ended up with food poisoning shortly after. I had the chicken tikka masala and within hours, I began experiencing severe symptoms that required medical attention. Food safety should be a top priority for any restaurant, and it’s deeply concerning when something so fundamental is overlooked. I understand that mistakes can happen, but when it comes to health and safety, there is no room for error. I strongly urge anyone considering eating here to proceed with caution.

This place is outstanding for calzones hits the spot every time we get donner calzone and it’s full of cheese and melts in your mouth and the Kiev calzones with extra garlic wow, the owner is very polite and and a great guy, also the price is very reasonable give the calzones a go you won’t b disappointed
