Godfather Express in Kingston upon Hull, City of

AVOID! Okay, now I could contact the shop and complain but then how would it get this out there. Now I had wrote a totally glowing review about Godfather Express a few months ago as this was my goto takeaway and I was so loyal to this place and ordered regularly up to this evening. Ordered Smokehouse Parmesan and I usually buy a pizza but don't fancy one this evening so browsing the menu there are clearly "fries" and also "chips" mentioned on there. I saw chip butty and the illustration also shows proper chips so I ordered. What I got was not chips but fries in a dry burger bun with huge amount of chip spice on. The dry mess is now in the bin, even the dogs didn't want it. The Smokehouse Parmesan was my wife's goto, she's had loads of these from here and when she got this evenings, they have not only cut portion sizes down but the quality too. There have always been 2 pieces of chicken in it, today there was just the one piece, the bacon has been swapped out for thin slithers of ham and hardly any BBQ sauce. I've spent £100's here over the years but no more. It's not the first time, I ordered a pizza from there during the week last week as I was home alone, paid for a stuffed cheesy crust and what I got was certainly not stuffed, there was hardly any cheese in the crust and a quarter of the pizza had no cheese in the crust at all. Sorry guys but if your going to drop quality and quantity and also keep the prices at the higher end for what was purchased, you need to realise that Hull is takeaway capital and there's many alternatives to go to that are decent. Its been a good run after 8yrs of using you but enough is enough. Good job there's 5 alternatives within a 3minutes drive.

Just had to walk away. The guy making my food was wiping sweat off his face with his hands and then touching my food. I couldn't eat that that's gross. I walked away and lost my money. Avoid this guy's it's disgusting doing that whilst making food. I'm going without tea now. There's no way I would want to eat that guy's swet

Second time using and again food was lovely (finally found a takeaway that reads comments) arrived very quick was missing 2 items called the shop and they were delivered in 5 mins

Had a party on Saturday 15th July Ordered 18 pizza and chips all the guest said the pizza's and the chips were fantastic thanks for making our party with your gorgeous food

I placed order for 3 pizzas cheese garlic Bread and other items totalling over £32 order to be delivered in 25 minutes when didn't arrive they insisted they had delivered it. Apparently they delivered to wrong address finally got another delivery 1 and half hours later on checking they only delivered 2 pizzas but delivered a garlic bread foc. When rang insisted they had delivered full order no refund or apology I will not be using them again and would not recommend.

Ordered 2 pizzas and upon biting into a slice, I bit into a piece of metal of some sort. Absolutely disgusted by this and it could have been very dangerous. Awful avoid at all costs.

Go maybe once a week now been told im a drunk that goes everynight and causes trouble and i dont drink his attatued is disgusting as asked for free garlic bread thats all x shocked by this hubby said were nhs 60 hr weeks so how can he say this x

Waiting outside and the takeaway is not open despite saying it will open at 3.30pm its now 3.40pm and i have to change plans

45 minutes waiting. Get home and 1 pizza literally slid out of the holes at the back of the box. The other all over the box inside. Whilst I was in the shop I stated I asked for No spice on the chips, so they just refried them!!! Absolutely disgusting.

We use godfather all the time ...tonights was shoking ...donner meat was like dry plastic we couldnt eat it and rhe pizza base was very wet and doughy garlic bread wasnt wuch better !! Dont think i'll be back for awhile..waste of money

Ordered 2 10" pizzas and 10 nuggets and chips. When producing my card for payment was informed there would be a charge if 50p for using a card. This is illegal and has been for over 2 yrs...when I asked about it no one could tell me why. Food was good but won't be using again due to illegal card charges .

Only reason it wasn't 6 stars was because the pizza base was a little under done. A bit sloppy. But tasted great. Garlic bread really nice. Will use again.

Ordered a pizza for my daughter who's diabetic and had sourced her diet around having a pizza on the night all day, I got fed up of waiting after 50mins and when I called they said they'd already been and my son paid cash....... clearly not as I don't have a son living here. Me and my girlfriend have just been in and ordered our food, first they over charged us but we pointed it out and got our money back. Then when we got home we went to eat our wrap and chicken. The wrap had the tiniest bit of cheese on I have seen in my life and was mainly chips, then my girlfriend opened her chicken and chips. The chicken was pink and more bone than chicken so it has all gone to waste. I am really disappointed with this, but it is not the first time it has happened

The food was alright but the driver asked for the money then walked away without giving me my £5 change ! And rang back saying he gave me it when he never and then he never even dropped it back off at my home or never rang back
