The best restaurants serving Default food in Sowerby Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

Having seen the advertisement signs on the roadside just thought we’d call in and enjoy fish and chips. So disappointed. Land and Sea are for burials and that’s just where this meal should have been, buried. The fish was dry and hard and the chips not much better and we didn’t find out till got home. Waste of money

Just finished eating my “Italiano” bagel (salami, mozzarella and balsamic). It was seriously fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced too for what is quality food.

All I can say was it was the best meal in a long time. We popped along to the beer garden the other night and saw the meals which looked fabulous, especially the chips 😂. So we reserved a table for Saturday night and I'm glad we did as it was so busy. The menu isn't huge but it had a great selection of meals and as a fuss pot who's hard to please I found quite a few meals I thought sounded perfect but as a steak pie professional tester I decided I had to try it, the fact that you can select shortcrust or puff pastry nearly made me explode with excitement 🤯. My hubby and bestie chose the fish pie and as I hate fish I was surprised when it came I actually thought it looked it lovely, they both said it was delicious and cleared their plates. But the steak pie was so delicious I didn't actually want to talk to anyone and I entered my own world of steak pie testing, well I do take my job seriously 😂. The chips were just amazing and the veg was presented beautifully and was perfect. The portion was massive but if you look at the photo I managed it and I had to keep having to protect my chips from my hubby. We actually had the cheek to go for desserts with me and Bestie decided we would share the crumble, which was beautiful and we actually started to fight over it and a 22 year relationship nearly came to an end, next time it's one each!!! Price and service was excellent and they all seemed to work well on an extremely busy night. Well done, we loved it.

We came to view items for the up coming auction to be held in the next few days. We decided to have lunch here and so glad we did. The food all looked good and it was hard to make a decision. 3 had the steak pie and I had quiche with chips. The food was lovely and portions generous. We all had a mug of tea and 2 slices of lemon meringue pie. Total bill £34.00. We all thought it was great value for money. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Internet hopeless aircon faulty pretty awful really. Room large, clean, warm shower. Would much rather have stayed somewhere nice but company won't pay so stuck with premier inn sadly.

The restaurant was spotless.Staff very friendly and helpful. Pot of tea and toasted teacake were served promptly. Would certainly recommend a visit when shopping in store

Bacon bun with tomato. Bun was soggy and WHO puts cold tomato slices on to warm bacon!!! This used to be a really good coffee shop for a snack unfortunately no longer. Please get your act back together.

Just been and picked up some food! I was served by Angus who was absolutely fantastic. Such a polite and enthusiastic young man! Thankyou very much for the excellent service! Nice to see someone going the extra mile!
