We went to The Three Horseshoes for Sunday lunch because we are staying in the area. All I can say is every town/ village needs a Three Horseshoes. The roast beef Sunday lunch was probably one of the best we have had in a long time. The meat potatoes , parsnip and Yorkshire pudding are plated then you have dish after dish of lovely fresh veg. We didnt have room for a dessert but they were kind enough to box it up for us to go. Its advisable to book because they get busy. Thank you so much for the lovely lunch and for making us feel so welcome.

This is such a great restaurant. The tapas style format works so well. Every dish is a 'star', I have never ordered anything off the menu (or specials board) in my numerous visits that I wouldn't order again in a flash. You can taste the passion and skill that award winning chef Tim Zekki places into his food. Tim is ably supported by great front of house staff who enhance the dining experience combining fun with an in-depth knowledge of the menu. The restaurant is 20 covers so is intimate, discreet and comfortable, with great (and well priced) wine list. A real treasure!

We booked this as a two night B&B stop over through a gift voucher company. Arrived on the Saturday and the chap seemed genuinely shocked we were there. No welcome pack, no greeting. Room was okay, but noted dirty clothes from previous occupants behind furniture, dusty and no working tv. Drinks were heavily priced. Will say, our food was awesome and the young lady working on the Saturday was excellent. Got back from our travels Sunday about 7pm and the place was closed up, no bar for a drink or snacks. But it got worse as we were the only people in the building overnight and in to BH Monday morning. No one around for breakfast (which was prepaid), no staff (even went for a walk through to the kitchen), no answer on the phone - so just left our room key behind and packed the car. So much potential as the setting is lovely, but this non presence on a Bank Holiday weekend is simply nuts! No response since, despite two emails and we didn’t even get what we paid for.

Nice little pub in a great location with a nice carport for hotel guests. Wifi is shockingly poor and the water pressure is just a trickle, this could have been as I was on the top of the building but really just need a hot water tank on top floor with a water pump. BreKfast was nice little disappointing it was continental only but there was a good selection.

Service is the keystone here and throughout the group’s pubs. Food good, environment good, need a better traditional cider along with Thatchers and Devon Red, as well made as they are. Prices a tad high. 4 pounds for a smallish bowl of chips too much. Overall good though and staff deliver fine service in a really well maintained building.

We booked this after a recommendation from friends. The web page did not give prices or allow online bookings but a quick call had a friendly response although we were told “The roast is beef this week” - no choice - but as carnivores this would be fine for us. We arrived on time and saw several tables already occupied. The greeting was warm and welcoming and we were very quickly settled with drinks in hand. The lunch was really good. Melting and tender beef on each (hot) plate with crispy roast potatoes and parsnip and a yorkshire pudding; dishes on the table of beautifully cooked peas and carrots, red cabbage, green cabbage, cauliflower cheese, and plenty of savoury gravy. Yum. We had a leisurely lunch, clearing our plates, and the bill, including a dessert each and drinks, was approximately £25 a head, which we thought very fair value for what we had. While we were there several locals called in for takeaway lunches so that service seems good too. We will be going again, soon.
