Nice little pub in a great location with a nice carport for hotel guests. Wifi is shockingly poor and the water pressure is just a trickle, this could have been as I was on the top of the building but really just need a hot water tank on top floor with a water pump. BreKfast was nice little disappointing it was continental only but there was a good selection.

The food is absolutely delicious it's more of a tapas style which works great for trying different foods. Staying over well the rooms are good and the tv is lg smart just needs the actual room modernising as the curtains dont meet but acceptable and it has free parking always a bonus and the location is very good being a village centre everything you need is close by

Nice coffee. Coffee and walnut cake wasn't that good, small, expensive and poor quality. My wife left half because she didn't like it.

We visited on Saturday evening for dinner. The food was absolutely outstanding. All unbelievably delicious flavours on every plate that we had. The plates are small plates that are perfect for sharing, and the taste was just phenomenal. I would highly recommend a visit to try out the wonderful menu in a comfortable, cosy setting with superb service.

Nice range of beers, log burning fire. Intimate surroundings and friendly staff. Also heard the food is very good here, but not dined there yet.

Told 45 minutes for delivery when it’s been 1h 30 minutes and that after being charged £3 delivery !!!! Called the restaurant to be told by the same guy that they have other deliveries then put the phone down. Not a good first impression at all.

Went in for food the other day and had a very pleasant experience. Once I had ordered the food came quickly and came as specified on the menu and was delightful. Whoever runs the kitchen is doing a cracking job! Highly recommend

I've stayed at The Corner House in Taunton a few times now, and it's always a bit of a mixed bag – but in a charming way. Each room has its own character, complete with creaks and groans that give the place real personality. On this visit, my room was spacious, but unfortunately had a strong smell of cigarette smoke when I arrived. I had to open all the windows and use some deodorant to freshen it up – not ideal, but manageable. Still, I love the thoughtful touches, like the small glass bottle of milk in the fridge for tea and coffee – a lovely change from the usual UHT sachets. Some rooms are more modern than others, but that’s part of the charm. The Wi-Fi was fine – no issues with connectivity, though the speed is pretty average. Parking is £5 overnight, but be warned – the car park is small and, let’s just say, “interesting” to get in and out of! You'll understand what I mean when you try it for yourself. It can be a bit of a squeeze. Where The Corner House really stands out is the food. I had the minute steak with garlic butter and fries for dinner – really tasty. Breakfast was just as good – cooked to order and very satisfying. All in all, despite a few quirks, it’s a place I keep returning to – and for good reason.
