The best restaurants serving Default food in Ventnor West Isle of Wight South East

Upmarket wine tasting. Sommelier Tom and his wine-panneled (!) room for an hour long tasting sessions are impeccable. For maximum enjoyment, book one of six rooms for an overnight stay and check out one of the local restaurants within walking distance.

Enjoyed an amazing cream tea here. Beautiful spot right on the esplanade, a real sun trap. The home made scones were lovely, and the service welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

We stopped off for brunch, (banana & honey on toasted sough-dough) which was really lovely, they also had some great cakes, so we must go back to try them, happy to recommend

Get the pandan doughnuts, you will not regret it!!! Honestly, this place is now the top 10 places of delicious food I've ever eaten! We asked for a window seat so we could have nice sunny sea view, however a table of 5 was arriving so they had it booked. The waitress was very lovely and explained this nicely to us. We had half lobster, scallops, japanese coffee cocktail (served warm!!), and pandan doughnuts. everything was cooked to perfection, the lobster and scallops were melt in the mouth. the potatoes were so soft and buttery, and the dessert just entered to be one of my faves of all time!! I would get a day trip ferry just to eat here!

Excellent. Food was delicious. A very popular place on the Esplanade so worth booking in advance.

Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had - the salmon pasty was made of the flakiest, butteriest pastry I've ever eaten, filled with a generous amount of salmon and a lovely creamy sauce (dill I think?). Crab pasties looked lovely - I didn't have one, but those I was with did and said they were incredible, looked lovely even to me as someone who doesn't like seafood very much! Seating is limited but has a nice view of Steephill Cove, although you could also probably just leave and find a pretty spot to sit/.

Best breakfast I’ve had in Ventnor and easily one of the best I’ve had on the island. Staff really friendly and helpful and a great view over the beach.

A nice visit for a champagne tea and cakes deal, which came by way of a retirement gift. Staff were lovely. Food was good, but glad we didn’t pay for it as there was not a lot of it for £43 per person.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights over Christmas 2024, The hotel is like Downton Abbey .Stylish yet from another era .Loved the heavy brass bedroom keys .The staff and food Could not have been better . Loved the whole experience .Living on the Island I have only heard great reviews . Can highly recommend this hotel and staff .

A must for lunch ! We both had crab salad . A mountain of fresh leaves home made slaw and fresh crab on top served with crusty bread. Lovely Sea front table uninterrupted views out to sea

Should be amazing sadly quality was not with us today. Staff can be really pleasant. The outside is to die for, food just not where it should be . Toilets unsure.

Me and the inlaws stayed at signal point last weekend and had a couple of breakfasts in the cafe but the best was Monday 12th May. Cant thank Graham enough, the food was beautiful and the omelette was the perfection. What a lovely soul Graham is, and his wife. So nice to chat too and you can tell he truly enjoys his job. I forget the lady's name who he was working with (May have been Sophie) but she was lovely too and cant fault her in any way. Thankyou so much for everything x

After reading many a review of this place, I was very disappointed. It seemed incredibly under managed. Very little signage to guide you around the gardens. Weeds everywhere!! The glass house was appalling. The lilly pond was dreadful. Very poorly kept and seem very tired. I was not impressed at all. The breakfast omelette was nice, though, sitting on the terrace. It seems to all be totally under funded and is a faded glory. Get some volunteers in!!!

No gluten free, but they were fab and friendly. Reccomended somewhere else and have my boy a free lolly pop! Food looked good!
