The best restaurants serving Default food in Sandown North Isle of Wight South East

This spot is so homey as it reminds me of home. The workers were so friendly and sweet! Would definitely go there again!!!

7 different, delicious flavours (personal favourite was the sour cherry🍒 😋) to choose from, £2.50 for a big filled palm tree cup and £1.50 for a refill! Lovely, helpful staff, beautiful location with seating and views over the beach. You can hire them for private functions, too!

Amazing food and amazing service! The deli is very cozy place on top of Sandown high street. The girls are very friendly and helpful. I highly recomend visiting thus little gem!

The beer offered at this establishment can be described as satisfactory but lacks any standout qualities that would make it particularly memorable. However, the real disappointment lies in the service provided by the staff. During our visit, we observed that they appeared quite disinterested and were often preoccupied with their phones rather than attending to their duties. For instance, there was a delivery driver unloading kegs of beer, and yet none of the staff offered to lend a hand or provide assistance. They simply watched, glued to their phones, displaying a lack of initiative and motivation. This level of complacency suggests a concerning lack of enthusiasm and dedication, which may very well lead to the downfall of this establishment in the near future.

Great little find for us when we were on a bike ride.. we had a burger and a plain Jane bratwurst and cajun chips - honesty all incredible! We could eat it all again and gutted we were on holiday at the time so can't just go there whenever we like 😆 definitely recommend - the service was great with a smile!

Unusual little venue, with small but creative menu. Good vegetarian and vegan options (in fact about half the menu choices are vegetarian or vegan). For lunch, we started with some garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread which was a very generous portion, and in hindsight we didn't need it! My partner had the Vegan Chili Pot, which was impressive and tasty (not massively spicy, tasty). My daughter had the mushroom risotto which was divine! Our little one chose off the children's menu and had a hot dog and chips! My seafood chowder was also very tasty. The food was creatively presented! Nice coffee also. It's a really nice atmosphere sitting in an ex-bandstand building, great views up and down the sea front.

Fab little place with a fantastic location on the beach. Walked the dog and stopped for coffee here every morning. Lots of people having breakfasts that looked good. A very relaxing place with friendly staff. Only downside is they closed Mondays and Tuesdays

Nice tuna melt toastie and the weather was beautiful. We had a good table by the beach and could people watch. However , I noticed an odd looking woman with a shopping trolley full of bags of stuff and clothes on the next table. When she asked to use my mobile to ring a cab as her phone was broken … of course. Said yes but I dialled the number. She seemed a bit off and ordered a can from 6th May to take her to the airport. She appeared normal and spoke n an American accent and then she wanted to use my phone again to arrange her seating with the air line. I refused as I asked her about her phone and internet access. She changed her placid manner and started swearing at me and accusing me of cross examining her. I left immediately as I was shocked that this was allowed to happen on a busy afternoon in front of the kiosk. I don’t want to eat there again in case this should happen again. Beware of this homelessness woman as I believe she has mental challenges and is a danger to others who sit near her.

Our favourite meal of our holiday. A great little find. We went really early (5pm ish) as we’d skipped lunch and they could only just fit us in but we got lucky! I’d recommend booking in peak season. Service was good. Food was excellent.

Sad day for me and my family. We have been going to Caulkheads for many years but last night was very disappointing . The menu was small whereas in the past it has been very extensive. The menu was a typed up couple of pieces of paper in a plastic see through wallet. There was absolutely no atmosphere at the pub and it’s was almost empty whereas before it’s been heaving. The food was of poor quality , none of the previous local produce . Burger was cheap frozen rubbish , used to come with coleslaw and side salad ,nothing now . Chicken skillet swimming in grease . Fish pie with no veg .very disappointing all round . Also very expensive now . As a local we used to meet often with friends here now we will be going elsewhere . Good luck staying open after the holiday season !,

I was served by a lovely lady saturday evening, soooo helpful, i wanted chips and a veggie burger, and she was honest and told me the chips are cooked in beef fat, i wouldnt have been impressed if i had eaten any after being a vegetarian for 42 years! Soooo much appreciated, i love honesty too, a big believer in it, also they did me some fries cooked using something else. Thankyou all again. Top notch service, after driving around what seemed like forever to try and park near, so all your kindness was very welcome. 😁

Popped in for a coffee and was made to feel very welcome. Used the gents toilet and it was so slean and pleasant smelling Sat outside and enjoed the atmosphere.
