Craft beer and cider in the High Street, with brilliant knowledge and service whether you drink in or take away. A great addition to Sandown's attractions, commemorating author Lewis Carroll's connection with the seaside town and the building which houses Boojum & Snark.

Boojums offers the best selection of craft beers on the island consisting of both guest and in-house brews. It's friendly, comfortable and regularly hosts quizzes, art events and Dungeons & Dragons nights. A great addition to Sandowns high street and the island as a whole.

Beautiful place run by a lovely couple. Dog friendly and offers a community place for the locals too. The beer brewed here was very tasty , smooth and delicious. Lewis Carol used to live across the road!

Last weekend I visited Boojum and Snark for the first, but not the last time. What a gem of a place. Really friendly, knowledgable staff, great selection of beers and wines and a tremendous atmosphere. This must be the jewel in Sandown’s crown. So nice to see someone getting everything right. I will return!

The beer offered at this establishment can be described as satisfactory but lacks any standout qualities that would make it particularly memorable. However, the real disappointment lies in the service provided by the staff. During our visit, we observed that they appeared quite disinterested and were often preoccupied with their phones rather than attending to their duties. For instance, there was a delivery driver unloading kegs of beer, and yet none of the staff offered to lend a hand or provide assistance. They simply watched, glued to their phones, displaying a lack of initiative and motivation. This level of complacency suggests a concerning lack of enthusiasm and dedication, which may very well lead to the downfall of this establishment in the near future.

This great little taproom is absolutely worth a visit - the lady we spoke to was really lovely and talked us through all of the beers available and took plenty of time with us to find something that suited our tastes. Was a shame we weren’t staying closer by so we could sample a few more but were able to take a few away based on her recommendations also. Thank you!

What a great place. They sell lovely craft beer and wine in a very cool establishment. Lots of local art has also been displayed to make this a great place to hang out. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Which is a good thing as there's a great choice on the menu. For all you guys on a trip to Sandown on the Isle of Wight I recommend that you pay Boojum and Snark a visit.

Excellent craft beer microbrewery and taproom. 6 keg lines and stocked fridge with cans. Nice chat with the friendly and knowledgeable co-founder. The beer was excellent. An absolute gem and massively recommend a visit as they deserve to be packed out.

This is a go-to place for us now. It's a really cool, arty place with friendly staff and a niche selection of always-changing beers, ales, stouts, ciders, etc. Great place for a catch up and a game of cards!

My favourite place for co-working. Super friendly space, great NY style coffee, excellent wifi. It's done me and my productivity tonnes of good. A highlight of my working week :-)

Smallest brewery I've visited, a must for craft beer fans

Have popped in for drinks a couple of times this week. Lovely house brewed beers, with a great relaxed vibe. Worth a visit if you like craft beers.

fantastic micro-brewery- the best beer on the island! Particularly loved the rhubarb sour and black IPA. Tracey was charming and knowledgable, and kindly gave us a lovely mini tour of the brewing kit and the extensive collection of old bottled beers. I'm sorry we didnt stay longer but will come back next time we visit IOW.

Absolutely excellent venue, well worth seeking out. Tracey is very chatty, helpful and interesting, whilst the head brewer (sorry didn't catch your name) certainly knows his way around a brew kit - a great selection of beers on tap - particularly the black I.P.A. Look forward to returning next time I'm on the island.

A great bar/taproom with lovely friendly staff who have a good knowledge of the beers and the local area. I thoroughly recommend checking them out when you can. They also have art installations, which is a good way to spend time with your friends and a few beers. I have no doubt we will be back next year (or sooner).

Very pleased to have tried this place. Unexpectedly now does some cask ales alongside the keykeg beers. A good range, excellent quality and a lovely welcome. Recommended.

A friendly micro brewery with good ales. I am not allowed alcohol so missed tasting the in-house offerings, although my family rated them highly. I enjoyed the imported non-alcoholic beer which treated like the real thing.

We read about the local cheese and local ale festival @ Boojam & Snark so booked a table and went along on Friday It was our first visit to this wonderful craft ale bar. We had a very warm welcome and had a short talk through the ales and cheese on offer We decided to order two paddles of 1/3 pints , of six real ales from 3 breweries . We also had a cheeseboard each , showcasing six local cheeses from two suppliers The whole combination was delightful Such a wonderful experience and so enjoyable. We then decided to have a final pint of barista stout and Smoky Mountain Indian pale ale. Superb condition and served in their bespoke beautiful beer glasses The selection of crackers and home-made chutney complimented the cheeseboard perfectly & the background music was spot on What a great place ! Friendly staff , interesting artefacts & wall art on display, as well as a small photography exhibition Boojam and Snark is definitely a place we would recommend to visit. It puts Sandown well and truly on the real ale trail ! Great owners. Great atmosphere. Great place

Love this place! Me and my husband called in on our way to dinner and wish we could have spent longer. Excellent local beers, reasonably priced and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and offered samples to help us decide. Sandown, and the Island, have long needed a place like this. Will definitely be back!

I've been meaning to visit this bar for ages .As far as I'm aware you won't get a better selection of craft beer anywhere else on the island. I was lucky enough to have a chat with the brewer his knowledge is amazing. Just sit back and enjoy the ale 🍺

An absolutely brilliant night out! best beers, people and dancing

I love this bar, there’s a great selection of beer along with a lovely rustic, warm and friendly atmosphere. Julie and Tracy are highly knowledgeable and always push you to taste their products on tap before you try; a great touch! As well as this, they clearly love the local area, focusing on showcasing local artists and holding local events to enrich the lives of the community.

I struggled with this one. I wish I could have given 4.5 stars. It's a really nice place, please visit and I'll be back but... I want an ale. I like ale, craft beer is great but there's so much more to life than IPA and I honestly feel it's got to the stage that it's limiting the beer scene.

This is mine and my partners favourite place to come and drink when we visit Isle of Wight. We were so happy to find this place as we are craft beer lovers. The ladies are super friendly, they know their stuff about beer and brewing. They have a great selection of fab beers on tap and also in the fridge. Love it! Thank you! 😊

A great range of beers, ales, and ciders, plus a micro brewery creating exciting things. A creative, welcoming space, highly knowledgeable staff. A great place to chill out on an afternoon and taste a whole range of beverages. TOP TIP: don't drive! Enjoy the slow ebb of day time drunkeness wash over you, whilst you laugh and chat and learn about beer!. Good alcohol free options too though!

Lovely micro brewery with a great selection of craft beers, ciders and other alcohols. You can get a flight with 1/3 pints to try different ones, definitely recommend. Ladies running this place are lovely, so helpful and welcoming! I enjoyed the artistic installations as well. So happy we found this place on Google Maps on the first day of our holiday, returned a few times and would definitely come again in the future!

Great place if real ale drinker

Don't be fooled by the exterior, this place is a little gem. The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable! Great choice of beers and a couple of ciders. They do tastings too so you can try a selection. Want a local beer? They brew theirs ON SITE! Doesn't get much local than that! Great atmosphere, would definitely recommend!

Very nice place, 5 good local (crafty) beers on tap and loads more good ones in the fridge.

This place is like its own tiny little biosphere. By which I mean a tiny little bubble away from the world. The music is phenomenal the service spot on just the perfect place on a Sunday.

Had a fabulous evening at Boojum and Snark. The warmest welcome, tastiest beer and very safe following distancing rules. Well worth visiting. We will be back!

Great little micro brewery, craft beer pub and gallery space. The staff were super friendly and the selection of craft beers and ciders was great. Not to mention a friendly atmosphere from the patrons and great decor. The Isle of Wight has long been waiting for a craft beer tap room and I'm happy to say that you can see the real heart and passion put into Boojum and Snark. Also they do take outs of what's on tap, you can get a can made up just for you, a 2 pint carton or even a beer box. Great if you're not staying in Sandown but still want some great beer. I'd highly recommend coming here, I'm sure I'll be down again.

Really really love this bar. Me & my dad went around Christmas time & enjoyed some excellent ales & ciders. So couldn't wait to get back on my next visit this week. It did not disappoint they've improved the decor & the staff were brilliant & obviously the beer & cider was first class. Easiest 5 stars ever

Wow. What an unexpected find on the IOW. Wandering around the (sadly) closed and dilapidated hotels of the area, we stumbled upon this lovely, interesting, and friendly micro bar. Great choice of beers on tap, great glassware, music, and prices! Please please visit if you’re a local or tourist alike.

Lovely original clean and modern bar with micro brewery kitchen on show, stacks of funky art and even greater selection of beers. The Boojum RIPA was our favourite amongst a paddle of refreshing ales. Highly recommend a visit!

We love Boojum & Snark! They are our go-to for a fantastic array of craft beers, ales, amazing stouts and we're loving the new Seltzers! Tracy and Julie are so lovely and knowledgeable. Definitely worth hopping on the train and getting to Boojum.
