Excellent Sunday Roast at The Olive Tree. We shared the delicious roast mushroom pate (homemade) which came with sourdough toast and caramelised onion chutney. A generous portion. We had a roast beef and a roast pork. It arrived with plenty of roast potatoes, accompanied by vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The meat was beautifully cooked as were the veggies. Good choice of wines, beers and cocktails. A relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant was nearly full. People enjoying their lunches and the warm hospitality. Jane, was very friendly and attentive to all her customers, as was the waitress. I would recommend a visit to The Olive Tree to enjoy delicious food which is great value for money and wonderful service.

What on earth has happened to this pub? I've been coming to this pub for 20 years and have seen change hands many a time, but I despair for the current state of this once great pub. Tracksuit wearing drug addicts propping up the bar, screaming and shouting every five minutes whilst people are trying to enjoy a quiet drink and/or eat their food. Management seriously needs to get a grip of the clientele and put an over serving policy in place, the atmosphere is often on a knife edge. Management, you should be ashamed of yourselves, leaving young bar staff as the only staff on site to deal with the absolute cretins your pub now seems to attract.

Rockpoint records? All very well but come on..never any music playing other than live bands? Get a decent playlist or 2 on at least..I'm sure they got their PRS licence? Is music permitted during the daytime? Or is wirral Council putting the blockers on again?
