Magic Spices Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Wirral

The food wasn’t that good. We ordered Butter chicken and it was like there is a taste of cheese on it, I really didn’t like it. The biryani was good but not great. The tandoori was really good! Just for the owner: please if you can put yogurt with cucumbers on the side with the Biryanis like all the Indian restaurants do that would be great! Will I come back? Nah.

This is the best Indian we have had in a long time. Great service from all of the staff, the food came piping hot and was really tasty! I had the rogan josh which tasted really authentic. It is really reasonable for what you get as well! Will be returning soon.

Amazing food and service :) haven’t been for a while because we moved out of Wallasey but glad to have found it again because the food was so good! I had the Butter murgh mirchi and my partner had the Rogan Josh both were so tasty and full of flavour. Can’t wait to go back :)

Another visit, another amazing experience. This restaurant is simply the best on the Wirral. The guys who work there are always so friendly and professional. The food is simply outstanding and they have some amazing dishes you won't find on any other menu in the area. Very highly recommend

Excellent menu, almost everything GF. I had lamb curry and it was very tasty. Not the cheapest, but feels worth it. Only neg, didn't have lassi, but owner said there wasn't enough demand.

visited a couple times recently and was pleased however last visited on thursday and the food was tepid, so i didn’t eat much of it. i shouldn’t have ate anything at all there, as i was ill all night & into the early morning with stomach pains. such a shame

Very poor service, found most of the staff quite rude especially older man who was rolling his eyes when we asked politely for more drinks and asked for salt and then it took at least 20 minutes to get drinks. Food was ok but curry very watery. Very disappointed won’t be returning.

Very welcoming, very professional and polite staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Service was second to none, food was piping hot and full of flavour. The atmosphere was good and didn't feel too loud or busy.

These guys are amazing, down to earth with a touch of sparkle in the food, service & generally everything, been coming for a good few years now & will carry on going for ever & ever prices are great choice is great, service amazing.

Top notch restaurant! Absolutely amazing food there, well presented, served hot and sometimes cooked at table. Place itself is well decorated and appointed. Nice lighting and vibe. Lots of seating, from 2 seat tables to full large booths and tables. Food was exceptional! Was really impressed. Had the popadum starter with a huge variety of chutneys and sauces. The slightly hot and sweet chilli was best but mango was good too. My partner had the chicken masala which was tasty and my lamb bhuna was very tasty indeed! Partner had a salmon starter and i had a kofta, these were serves sizzling in a hot dish and the flavour was first class. Will definitely be going again! Reasonable prices too, especially wed and thurs as i think is two for one. Bargain! Really good service too but beware, no desserts, was hoping for a pallette cleansing kulfi, lol.

Food was watery and had no flavour and chicken was like rubber called to say I was not happy with the meal and got told I was telling lies bad attitude do not recommend stay well clear

We ordered a take away from here. It said 25/30 mins delivery and it was right on for time, delivery driver was lovely, food was piping hot and tasted absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Always a good meal in here. Staff are very friendly and helpful if you're unsure on what something is. Food is delicious. Cobra beer on tap. Wednesday and Thursday nights it's 2 for 1 on meals.

Went last week for the first time and it certainly won't be my last ! From as soon as we walked through the door I couldn't fault the customer service we received it was second to none ! Every restaurant should take note of magic spices' customer service because I've never received such good service ! Food was some of the best Indian food I had eaten, served hot and the chicken curries we ordered was full of large chunks of chicken. Top marks Magic spices !!

Absolutely love this place! This family run restaurant always hits the spot with their authentic Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine. Never had a bad meal here and visited multiple times with colleagues. Really great to see the father and his two sons doing a grand job in running this establishment. Keep up the great quality food and see you soon!

Food was good, chicken a little dry but it was very late at night. Just note that there is risk of cross contamination with the chips if you are coeliac.

Just returned from our first ever visit to Magic Spices. A little apprehensive at first due to some poor reviews. Needn't have worried, staff were wonderful as was the food and service. Definitely worth a second visit.

Chicken madras, keema rice, keema nann bread was spot on. Highly recommended.

It's probably the best Indian meal I've had for a long time. Very very impressed.

I love this curry house and we visit about once a month. The mixed kebab starter is gorgeous and the lamb tikka masala but on saying that we've also had Madras, Sagwalla among others and they've all been super tasty. Staff are very friendly and the service is amazing. One tip I would say is to ask the older guy with the beard to offer the change to the customer at least rather than assume its a tip as we found that quite rude as there was no thanks either as ge never bothered to return!! We will still visit but pay be card next time so we can be clear about paying tip in cash

Lovely meal this evening, full of flavour and well cooked. Had the mixed sharer, then a tikka sizzler and a curry, rice and nan, all fresh, hot and tasty. Service was excellent from start to finish and the bill was pleasantly reasonable. Lovely ambience despite it being busy. If in the area again, will certainly return, and recommend to others!

I ordered a pre-ordered a delivery online. The order was delivered within the expected time by a lovely, friendly delivery person. The food was hot and full of flavour. Lovely thick sauce. I've often eaten at another of their restaurants where I used to live, and it was always good.

Hygiene issues...plates and spoons were not cleaned properly. NO Clarity over veg and vegan options.When asked about vegetarian options to get clarity the Manager himself shouted and spoke rudely without giving clarity.When I politely asked about his name.....he asked Why would you want to know....and gave me a right or wrong name....LIZZY.... OLD man with no professionalism. We went about 25 people including 12 kids. We had to struggle to settle kids as spaces were not aligned well within 5 mins the staff rudely spoke to us,When we asked if he could get chips for kids (as they were hungry) till we decide on our order, he said I will take the order togather. The food was tasteless and pathetic. Quanity was very very less per serving and quality of food was rubbish. THINK TWICE before you enter the restaurant...Absolutely waste of money.

We where at magic spices last night, this is the best curry house on the wiiral, we have been going here for over 20years, the food is excellent good choice of different things to try, service is really good you are well looked after, staff are very polite and very helpful, we will be going back soon .

Delicious Indian meal enjoyed at Magic Spices earlier this week. Really friendly staff and a lovely relaxed dining experience. The menu was extensive offering a good mix of meat, fish, and vegetable based dishes. Finishing the main dish off at the table was a nice touch and added to the overall dining experience. The food was well prepared and tasted great, everyone enjoyed what they'd ordered. I hadn't been for a good while, and I'm so glad I did. Great little restaurant that's well worth a visit.

I've only marked atmosphere down because we were very early and there weren't that many customers but as we were leaving it had started to fill up. Food was delicious Staff were very helpful and respectful. My son and I were having a dad and lad night, we're going to book for a bit later next time.

This restaurant never fails! The food is just something else ! Its amazing! Could come here every night for dinner if i could , from naan to popadom to all the currys its amazing! Waited over a hour for food and then had phone call of there clown of a delivery driver saying he could not find my address even tho it’s in big letters outside my building and postcode tracking takes you right outside my building then ten minutes later they turn up thinking I’m paying nearly 20 pound for stone cold food will not order from these again bad delivery service shambolic to be frank don’t buy from these waiste time and money for people who can’t find a simple address

This place is one of the best! Had a really nice meal with my girlfriend, staff were brilliant very polite and helpful. The food is a reasonable price and was outstanding! Got a little chocolate at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. 100% recommend for any occasion

We have visited this place on Tuesday evening for dinner for 3 people. The first impression was very positive. Very nice decor and furniture. The service was very friendly and polite. The food was delicious and very nicely served. We all enjoyed all the food we had. We will definitely come back here again!

Me and my wife, dined here last night, I honestly haven't written a review on a restaurant for a while, but feel I needed to after we received such good service We have eaten here a good few times, the food and service is always good, I work in the customer service industry, and I can't remember getting such a good level of customer service in any setting, as good as the service Naz gave us last night!! Had a takeaway this week. The staff were friendly, helpful and provide excellent service. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. My meal comprising house special starter and chicken korahi arrived quickly, however upon collection the bag felt a bit light. Upon arriving home, I noticed there was no salad or sauces for the starter, and the main meal foil tray was only three quarters full. Yes it was tasty and perhaps I'm being unfair because I like big portions but for £18 for one, it was just a bit disappointing.

We are replying to some criticism we received for a bad post from last Friday! The people on the next table said we were loud, disrespectful and moaned to try to get money off our bill!! This was ABSOLUTELY not the case. We all found that none of our meals were up to scratch and felt we needed to share this. That is our right and what reviews are for!!! I had been before and recommended it to my friends so I was mortified it was so bad and one of the waiters was disrespectful to us because he had an extra meal we had not ordered but this was quickly sorted. We payed the bill in full and without question and were honest when asked for feedback as we left a lot of food! We asked had they been taken over or had a new chef as the food was so tasteless! Maybe we were unlucky but the experience will nit be repeated. He said he would tell the chef, we said we would post a review, there was no argument and we left amicably! Not sure where all the criticism from the next table came from but it seemed a bit over protective to me????? It doesnt change our point of view at all!

Been coming to magic spices for a while now can honestly say it's the nicest Indian food I've had. Popadoms cooked to perfection, mango chutney is the nicest I've had, lamb samosas, chicken chat always cooked great, butter murg murchi is always so creamy, tasty rounded off with a naan bread to finish the sauce! WOW! Can honestly say Ive not had an Indian from here yet that has let me know! Service is always very polite, very good with customers! Would 100% definitely recommend trying here! ❤️🍛

We visited this restaurant yesterday evening and have been several times in the past. On this occasion we had the utter disappointment of sitting next to the previous reviewers who didn’t mind loudly complaining about absolutely everything brought to the table in an attempt to lower the bill. Thankfully the food and service were absolutely perfect as usual and once again we thank you for a wonderful evening.

Heard good things but food did not match up. Service excellent but nothing tasted as advertised. Butter Murgh Mirchi described as hot - not even mild! King Prawn Shahi Passanda could have been added to coffee for sweetness. Xacutti Aloo Fry by far the best in terms of meeting the description! Bread not cooked. Targa Daal had to be sent back and corn flower added - still like dishwater and tasted like it on return. Wine nice and not going back again!!!! Ever!!

Went here on Monday for my husbands birthday, we've had takeaway from here before and been meaning to actually eat within the restaurant for some time now. Their takeaway food is always delicious, but sitting in there and having it served still essentially cooking in its plate is just something else! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. I cannot fault anything about this place. I highly recommend it and we shall be going again!

Ordered a delivery after recommendation from some peepz. Omg have to say I just found my fav. Indian!!! Soooo goood!!! Only complaint is the paratha for £1.85 for that seriously small piece is a lil pricey. But other then that love it!!!

We hadn't booked, but only waited 5 mins for a table. Service was good, as was the food. Always love the pickle tray, and it didn't disappoint.

Amazing food, top quality service from the staff and the decor is lovely inside. Perfect for couples and families. Been here many times in the last year as the food is incredible and the staff do their best to make recommendations to match the diners tastes. 10/10 recommend Takeout also available to order I believe.

Excellent food, service and ambiance.

Food arrived 15 mins after ordering (red flag). Chicken tikka tandoori came without sauce but with onions (why), The sauce came separate but instead of being a tandoori sauce it looked like it had come from a Jalfrezi meal. All other side dishes were bland without seasoning and appeared to have been microwave re-heated food from the previous day and judging by the speed of arrival I'm more than a little suspicious. In future will go elsewhere

Went to this restaurant with my family and it was by far the best restaurant in town especially with all the covid madness. Excellent food, amazing staff which they went above and beyond to look after our family. Highly recommend Roshon moris doniya dish that was lush.

Food OK.. but not as good as it used to be..very quiet in there

Not great not freshly prepared as evidenced by the bland taste and part of the plastic bag it was obviously stored in before it was reheated ending up in the curry. Naan was good though and delivery was incredibly quick 🤔
