The Light Cinema Cafe in Wirral

This is our favourite cinema . Love to take a coffee and beer into the theatre especially when watching longer films! So glad this venue is local!!

It's a cinema not a restaurant. I like the fact its on our doorstep and staff always ready to help. Its clean, what more do people want

Had a coffee before the film started, staff appear to have to multi task between Bar and Tills, so a bit disjointed very little on offer

This is an open area in the foyer of the cinema. It's OK if . you are waiting for somebody to join you for a film, but not really to have a nice drink or snack. There are plenty of nicer coffeeshops, cafes and restaurants close by.

cinema was cold had to keep coats on bit loud with the adverts could not have a conversation they really need to put heating on to make watching a film enjoyable

Enjoy coming here as its my escape from my hotel which i spend 21 nights a mounth in .. films are great value place is clean and tidy . There is always something to see .

Came on Friday afternoon, had lunch next door and then enjoyed an afternoon in here once again - it's our monthly treat. So much better than the "bigger chain" cinema's

Have visited a number of times. Cinema is always clean and from time to time they show less known films and live screenings. Have their own bar too and you can take your drinks in with you.

Nice clean Cinema,not the cheapest,but very comfirtable.Has it's own Bar and you can take your drink in to Cinema,some of the most comfortable seats you will find.

A nice airy cafe area next to the ticket queues, only one request, install a coffee machine that dispenses n less than a minute as the five mins per cup waste valuable staff and customer time. Great cinema!

Great to have a Light cinema in New Brighton.We go most Tuesday/Wednesdays.We use thye Meerkats half price deal.

Visited the Light Cinema for the first time because found some great deals online especially for early afternoon showings ( and a free drink as well ), much cheaper than the Odean Liverpool , will be back.

This is one of the best cinemas around. It is clean and well kept. The staff are outstanding in manner, pleasant and obliging at all times. Always a pleasure to visit and take advantage of there special discount days and free coffee and tea offers.

Not going to comment on the cinema itself but as the title suggests, just the café. If you don't earn in excess of £30k per annum, you probably can't afford to eat or drink here. Appallingly overpriced and although my wife and I are regulars at this venue, we refuse to pay their extortionate prices for their poor food and poor selection of drinks. We tend to watch our film then go to Weatherspoons opposite to eat and drink. If the light would only realize that cutting their prices in half would sell 3 times as much, then it would represent good value. As it is, its a rip-off.

Helpful friendly staff and always a good selection of films to enjoy also good chose of drinks at the bar

Seats are great for people like me with back issues, staff always so helpful. usual sweets n drinks at exceptionally high prices . Clean and tidy always

Nos encanta ir al cine la luz. El personal siempre es amable y hay muchos cines, en sí, no son demasiado grandes y los asientos son muy cómodos. Hay muchos cines pequeña con una selección de películas para ver, lo cual es genial. Venden bebidas y aperitivos, así como los típicos palomitas y puede sentarse y tomar un café después de que vimos una película. Lugar encantador.

Set by the front door of the cinema, this isn't a good place to relax really. They should make it a bit more private and put a carpet in. It is functional though although the drinks are overpriced and the coffee machine facility takes ages.

great local cinema, free popcorn with every child ticket. Booster seats for the children. Lovely and clean, comfortable seats.

Good selection of films, great coffee and helpful staff, lovely comfy seats, efficient booking on line and collection of tickets, recommended.

I love going to The Light. It's a great cinema with lovely comfy seats, good leg space. Spotlessly clean throughout. Highly recommended

Well worth coming as my self and grandchildren loved the whole movie experience would go again.the seats are nice and wide and comfy,food was a little expensive need more of a viraty other than that I loved it

good entertainment, good service, just wish people who were having a drink in there were a bit quieter.

I have visited this cinema of a number of occasions. The staff are helpful even when busy. I enjoy being able to take a drink either hot, cold or alcoholic in the theatre. The screens are a good size and the seating is very comfortable.

We have a round of drinks here every time we go to the cinema. The staff are friendly and the prices are what you would expect in a cinema location.

We have been to New Brighton Light Cinema many times. Staff always help full, friendly. All seats very comfortable and would not choose to go anywhere else

too expensive to drink here although don't think a cinema should be in the restaurant section ......

This is a great clean, comfy cinema. We've been watching films here regularly since it opened. Much better than going to Cheshire Oaks or over to Liverpool. The tickets prices are also good and they do a monthly subscription where you can go as many times as you want which sounds pretty good value, i'm quite tempted to join.

nEw James Bond film, went mid week afternoon booking, great film best seats not many in cinema, plenty of parking on the promenade just short walking distance.

A modern unit with, I think, 8 screens. Very comfortable seating. A fine reception area with a snack bar andseatingwhilst you wait for your film to start. Newly releasedf films at affordable prices. What more could you ask for.

Love going here always very friendly and clean quite a few screens most are up stairs and always very comfy seat. Seen some big blockbusters here with great sound

We go loads , staff are lovely loads of room when sitting down , parking spaces , if you never been come and see for yourself

1 of the best cinemas in the north west staff are helpful and most are really polite 1 or 2 need to be a bit more polite but hay we all have are of days foods good and always hot and there is so much more to do around the area

Love the Light, so handy and always has the big films at reasonable prices. Very comfortable seating, and you can get hot and cold drinks to take with you in addition to the normal soda drinks. They have a bar too.

Excellent staff, very efficient, they can't do enough to please, it is so much an alternative to have a refreshing pint. Just avoid the junior film type things, when there are brats running around. Other than that, its probably the best bar in New Brighton.

A bit on the pricey side as expected but can't fault the service 100% Friendly and 100% Clean. Served with drinks very quickly and the clearing of the tables was very quick.

Easy parking, good value plus it's very well appointed, new, large comfortable seats. Staff are friendly and you can take your drinks in from the bar.

Great cinema,but the drinks etc very expensive especially if you have children ,plenty of free parking which is a definate bonus ,nice seating
