Went for Sunday lunch along with our two dogs and can highly recommend as a very dog friendly place to eat and drink. Staff all friendly, professional and attentive, even made a fuss of our dogs bringing them fresh drinking water and treats which was appreciated on a warm day. A tasteful, spacious country pub with plenty of cosy rooms and seating both inside and out. I can highly recommend the roast beef, which was served perfectly cooked and was good value. Well done guys, looking forwards to another visit soon!

The food was so nice, the chicken pie was delicious! The wine and ales on offer are good and so reasonable. Lovely waitress, she worked so hard, and was really busy but made time to check in and make sure everything was okay, will definitely return.

Group of friends from Manchester and Yorkshire joined us at this venue. Most of us had the Sunday roast. We waited 50 mins and had to remind them we were there! When the roast dinners came the veg was cold but the biggest disappointment was the roast beef, this was also cold and tough. It was so tough you could hardly cut it. Once in the mouth we chewed so much we felt like blowing bubbles, chewy and tough, awful. We spoke to the waitress to reported the issues and she brought us some chicken to replace the chewy cold beef which was appreciated. The beef was left on the plate. We ordered cauliflower cheese at an extra £5 per portion which actually helped make the meal edible. Gravy was in short supply so more was ordered at an extra cost. Ordered a pint of Landlord which smelt and tasted of cleaning chemicals. Undrinkable. A very disappointing meal at a stunning dog friendly venue. The restaurant was not busy at the time of this event. Front of house staff were lovely and friendly but let down by the kitchen. :-(
