The food was so nice, the chicken pie was delicious! The wine and ales on offer are good and so reasonable. Lovely waitress, she worked so hard, and was really busy but made time to check in and make sure everything was okay, will definitely return.

Came for a family meal yesterday and the food was very good. Staff were nice and pleasant. Could I just suggest that it would be good if you could have a children's desert menu. They catered for one of our grandchildren who has a few dietary issues. We will certainly be back to try other dishes on your menu.

Went to The Fours Alls because we had read great reviews. When we got there there was no parking so had to find street parking which is in short supply. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere some what noisy...but it is a pub. Food was a little disappointing. One persons meal was apparently really nice. Mine was luke warm....chips same and hard. My husband had ordered a large meal...all l can say is l would hate to see a small meal. Will not bother going again.

First time for years at the Four alls inn. Wonderful lunch. Great pies followed by lovely desserts all served by very attentive staff. Pleasantly surprised when the bill came. Not often you get real value for money nowadays but at the Four Alls you get good quality home made food for a very fair price.

Lovely pub, set in a quiet village just off the main road. Very comfortable dining room with above average typical pub food, such as steaks, pies and fish and chips, but plenty of interesting stuff as well! Good beer selection and reasonable wine choices…..but not for wine snobs!!! A good friendly village restaurant, but only slight negative for us was that dogs were allowed in, although that may only be in the bar, as there were none in the restaurant thankfully, otherwise we would not have stayed.very friendly and efficient service.

It's impossible to write anything positive about this place. We first visited in November to see what it was like. Average was the first word that comes to mind. We had already booked for a family get together for Xmas and thought 'it will be ok'......how wrong can you be ! Despite knowing how many would be going (approx 14) the management didn't put on any staff. The service was disjointed and slow. The food often cold. In all we gave up after 3 hours. The meals were pre ordered and yet after over two hours they announced the desserts were still in the freezer. The only surprise was that they charged us. Utter tripe.

This is one of our traditional pubs that's still standing and hasn't been turned into houses! This place is one of the most friendliest pub I've ever been into! I hate walking into places on my own to meet people especially pubs! Everyone from the staff to the locals say hello and welcomes you..The food is absolutely delicious and always consistent, so when your really looking forward to going and decide before we go we know it'll be as tasty as the last.. The menu changes but it always has the favourites on! They also have a great specials board which there's always something knew to try.Sadly tho we were booked in for something to eat and we sat down and ordered our food and there was a lot of what seemed like walkers! Standing in the restaurant, some of this party ended up putting there rucksacks on the top of our table whilst we ate and pulled the spare chair away to talk to the others! The landlord politely asked the people not eating to stand in the bar area as the eating area is very small with only 5 or so tables and there was already people waiting who had already booked, this was greeted with a no response from the walkers who explained they were paying customers too!! The landlord didn't realise about our table situation until they had left very disgruntled!!! He apoligised to us and explained he'd thought we knew these people.. We also heard that the walkers where actually treasure hunters and had trampelled through people's gardens too and they had been asked not to go into people's private property by the owners to which the response wasn't pleasant either and also ignorant.. This is a really great traditional family eating and drinking hostilary which we need to hold onto! It's a place to get together and socialise over great food and drink with a fabulous atmosphere... Thankyou Four Alls we will be back soon ☕️

Well I came here to have a drink and meet up with some friends. I have been past here many a time and have always liked the look of the place, a good old English pub, and when my friend suggested we meet up, well I looked forward to it. After all Lancashire folk are meant to be friendly. It all seemed quite nice, a friendly young lady behind the bar served me a soft drink and packet of crisps and I went and had a chat with my friends. Part of our group had something to eat, and I was sorely tempted to have something to eat, looked nice. I need to drink fluids reguarly, so decided to get another drink, and packet of crisps. Only to be refused to be served by the man behind the bar. Now if I had been drunk, abusive, antisocial I could understand it, but all I wanted was a drink and packet of crisps. It turned out that our group was now sat in the wrong place, other customers needed to sit down. Well, it would have been nice to have been served, made to feel a bit more welcome, as afterwards the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. I have been to many places, visited many a place, from the 5 * hotel to a greasy burger van at the side of the road. I can honestly say that the attitude of the staff here, needs to be addressed, to refuse a customer is wrong, unless they are drunk, abusive etc, all I wanted was a drink, and the frosty attitude of the staff made me feel, well uncomfortable. So to sum up :For the place : nice location, at first nice staff, nice ambience, looked like the food was good, but apart from a packet of crisps there was nil else sampled.Against : the attitude of the staff. May I suggest customer service training, I am sure that there is an NVQ for this.I was willing to give this place my hard earned money and to revisit with my family, but sadly my money was not good enough, and I would not feel comfortbale here.I do not like giving negative reviews, but how can a place learn if feedback is not given. I am sorry you failed here, in hospitality, the customer should be the focus, and that means all your customers. I will not be back.

I'm part of a walking group and after a walk on Sunday we had arranged to meet here for an hour between 4 and 5pm for a pint and a chat. The chap who organised it had booked with the pub we were coming a month in advance so we thought we were welcome. However, at 4:30pm with a buzzing pub and people spending lots of money on drinks the landlord threw a strop, refused to serve anyone in our party and demanded we left because he apparently had 'booked out the tables for meals'. I thought pubs made most of their money on drink sales? We ignored him for a bit and stayed till 5pm as we had booked and certainly no-one had arrived to claim any tables by this point. There was a separate bar room he could have moved us to but instead the landlord opted to simply throw us out, and was very rude to quite a few of us. Many of our party had planned to stay and eat there after the meet up (myself included) but we obviously weren't welcome to do that. We walk in this area regularly and this was a real opportunity for the landlord to gain a number of new regulars, I've been back to the Pendle Inn countless times after a similar meet last year. But I would never return here, even if offered money to do so. My advice - if you happen to be passing and fancy dropping in for a drink or a meal, think again and find a pub where you are welcome - because if you haven't booked 'for a meal' - you're not welcome hereFootnote 4/4/2016 - The landlord reported this review as containing information about things I didn't experience and had it removed. This review does not contain any such information, the landlord simply is trying to hide any bad experiences so people don't get a balanced review of the pub. I find this really disappointing.

I'm not the sort of person to leave negative reviews only and always make the effort to recognise when something is good. We live in Plymouth (past 30 years) but visit Burnley once or twice a year to see family. We always go out for food on each visit and I had never heard of the Four Alls until we went last weekend. For me, it was one of those menus where I could have ordered a multitude of dishes as they all sounded great. I chose a starter off the menu (spicy prawns on toast) and a main course from the specials board (double cooked pork belly with black pudding fritters). The food came out relatively quickly and was absolutely delicious; probably the best I have tasted in all my visits up north in the 30 years. It wasn't just me either, the rest of the family were equally complimentary of the outstanding food. Staff were really friendly as well and the bill was great value for the quality of food. Overall, a superb meal and very highly recommended.

Village Pub, serving food. We arrived early to secure a table for lunch and only 1 other table was occupied at that time. I originally ordered Fish & Chips, but the order was mixed up and I ended up with Olde English Steak & Ale Pie, for which I wasn't charged. The meal was very salty, (even the chips seemed to be pre-salted) and the puff pastry was soggy. The Pie was served with braised red cabbage, however, as I had originally ordered Mushy Peas with my Fish & Chips, I also requested a portion with my pie which was served quickly and also without charge. I may return at some point to sample other dishes on the menu (Fish & Chips) but not in the near future.

Special mention for the red cabbage served with the fish pie....my wife described it as unbelievable and could have eaten a whole plate full. Everything else was first class.

We visited this pub on a Tuesday evening and we had high hopes when we walked through the door. Lovely and cosy and very welcoming. We sat and placed our order - a gourmet steak burger and cheese and onion pie. The order arrived and looked very nice.but this is where it went downhill. The burger was ok but the "bun" it was in was like a brick, you couldn't cut through it, it was so hard. The chips may have been good if they were hot, they were lukewarm at best. The pastry on the pie was awful, it had clearly been reheated numerous times. It should never have left the kitchen! The staff were very good and knocked the food off the bill but on the whole it was very disappointing. I cannot understand the great reviews for this place if they can't even cook a pie and burger properly!

My cousin booked this for a family meal when we were up from Devon and what an inspired choice. We were extremely well looked after throughout the evening by a lovely front of house who I presume was the landlady and the landlord was also very friendly and served some excellent beer. The menu was almost too good as it took us all an age to choose. This felt more like restaurant food from a confident chef and it delivered in spades for all of us as we demolished starters and mains. An excellent celebratory family meal. Good value as well.I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will head here again when next we venture back up North.

Had lunch with friends at the Four Alls as a stop off on our walk and we're all very happy with the food, the beer and the service. Most of us had a sandwich which came with a small salad and some nice home made chips. The sandwiches were not your run of the mill meat and bread, they were each very tasty, very fresh, and on freshly baked breads. My spicy chicken was exceptional in my view. The chicken was freshly cooked, very juicy and tender, and came with a nice spicy sauce in a freshly baked baguette. My friend had a fantastic pulled pork sandwich that looked delicious. Hope to go again some time to have dinner. Beer was also first class, along with the service. Sat outside on this occasion. highly recommended !

Visited one Saturday tea time, just my partner and I. Reserved a table for 5pm but needn't have as was quiet - was very busy by the time we left though.I had the scampi which was beautiful and my partner had the belly pork which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had treacle tart which was just amazing. The best I have ever tasted. Good efficient service throughout and decent prices too. Thanks for a great meal - we will return.

I visited Saturday evening. My partner had steak which was so fatty and grisly in the middle. Our starters were fine and my main, but when you pay a lot of money for a steak you expect great quality. There were 3 younger lads sat at the bar, and one of them with red hair was sat with his legs stretched out on a bar stool right across the bar. You'd to order your beer over his legs and feet.

We visited at lunch time today and ordered rib eye steak and baked chicken breast in blue cheese sauce. Both were cooked to perfection - the chicken beautifully moist, and the steak tender and succulent. We have eaten here on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. It's also very reasonably priced. We also like the fact that this is as much a traditional village pub as it is a first class eaterie, and it is nice to see people coming in just for a pint and to meet up with friends.

I arranged to meet my son and his wife here for a BIRTHDAY lunch, I guess I should have checked if it was open on Monday lunch time. But the doors were firmly closed and we could see the chairs piled onto tables. Disappointed, So we went to The Higher Trapp instead..

Recently visited with my Mother for our dinner and a few pints. Lovely pub, actually in the village of Higham (which hosts a well attended Scarecrow Festival every August) and mile or two outside of Burnley. Met some nice chatty locals, again this is a very nice well kept building, inside and outside. I ordered the garlic prawns on a baguette with a side of salad and home made chips, my Mother ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of salad and home made chips. We both enjoyed our choices, also, there was a good mixture on the menu in terms of price. This spot is well suited for most groups/meetings - couples, families, friends, work lunches etc, but I would recommend booking in advance if there is going to be a few of you, we certainly would have done if we'd had the tribe in tow.

Ordered the steak & ale pie, chips, red cabbage. Had a fork full of the red cabbage and was nearly sick, it was awful. Cut open the top of the pie and it was steaming, yet when I ate the first piece of steak it was cold, the next few were hot and then more cold pieces. I had to leave it. The meat was cooked, but I believe it had just been warmed up, maybe in a microwave leaving cold spots. Won't be eating there again. Very disappointed.

We came upon this country inn when looking for a pub off the main road that had a car park. We both massively enjoyed our lunch (one of us picked pan-seared scallops on slices of black pudding, the other remained traditional with sausages and mash.) We finished with excellent espressos that came with delicious dark chocolate truffles. Yum.

We eat at the Four Alls about twice per month, usually for lunch. The menu always has something to suit us both, and we have very different tastes. The dining room seats about 25, so it can be busy. The locals eat there, and they are spoilt for choice in this area - which is always a good recommendation.

Went for tea last night to our favourite pub and as always it didn't disappoint. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered a starter which was served within about ten minutes which is good as all the food is cooked from fresh. Our plates were removed and our main followed after a suitable resting time. The main was hot and delicious and beautifully presented as always. Would recommend The Four Alls to anyone.

We walked here with our dog on a sunny Easter Monday, its about an hours walk from home. Spent a very relaxed few hours eating and drinking before walking home. We were welcome to bring the dog in the pool room, where there were tables to eat. Everyone was happy with their food (8 of us all ordered different dishes) and it was a lovely way to spend the bank holiday. We'll be back.

Visited here as part of a large group at the weekend. The food was really good pub food - nothing fancy but we were served tasty bar meals which were hot and generously portioned. The service was good (although a little slow to take our initial order) and a great night was had in this small village pub. The only downside was a large, rather noisy, group in at the same time who made conversation a bit more challenging than usual!

Visited in late October on a lovely sunny day which really painted this pubs beautiful location in a perfect light. We are from the Midlands visiting family who are local and we all received a lovely warm welcome. The pub is lovingly decorated with great views over the local countryside. The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. The food itself was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Additional top marks to the owner who went the extra mile to look after a member of our party who unfortunately was taken suddenly unwell, thank you. We will definitely visit again when back in the area.
