The best restaurants serving Default food in Botcherby Carlisle North West

We hired Cumbria Gourmet burgers for an event at our house where we had a large number of guests coming. The food was great and the service was brilliant.

Had my first sweet sour chicken tonight hubby chicken curry real chips got to say it was lovely and reasonabley priced and yes we will be back .

Room 110 - Avoid if you are planning on sleeping at all. I have used this hotel on multiple occasions for work but may well look for another hotel in the future based on today’s experience. At the rear of the building is the kitchen area with very large extractor fans that make a hell of a noise. A constant drone that is loud enough that it will most likely keep you awake all night. I noticed this as soon as I walked in the room, went straight to reception to be moved but the hotel is fully booked. I was advised that the fans are switched off at 9pm. Heading towards 11:30 they are still buzzing away. The noise carry’s way over the TV, when the tv is off it is pretty unbearable. If you are in need of sleep, aim to be at the front of the main building or go somewhere else. Tonight is going to be a long night.

Gave this a second chance, however, service not very good again. Burger was lovely. Unfortunately, pudding was slapped down and told no ice cream. Very irritating as our food was pre ordered. You would except a higher standard and no attitude. Then the best laugh was when we had all paid being told there was several meals and puds not paid for with attitude. Five minutes later told this was a mistake. No apology. Disgraceful.

Ordered a Salted Caramel Frappe With Coffee and you couldn't taste the caramel. Didn't ask if I wanted coffee in it I had to ask them. The staff did not say thank you for anything so overall not a good experience.

Waited approx 30 mins for a seat. Very slow service. Plenty empty but dirty tables not cleared while people queueing for tables. Staff like headless chickens and dont seem to have any organisation. We were served food to be told "WE WILL FETCH SOME CUTLERY SHORTLY" eventually had to get our own! Hot drinks served after food arrived. Staff need a shake up. However the food was very nice. Would return for the food but service needs looking at!

From the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left we felt it was very friendly. I mentioned that we were newbies to Toby Carvery and Kieran made us all feel welcomed. We all had a very good meal from start to finish and it was very very tasty, we couldn't eat anything else, and when Keiran came to the table we were saying that the puddings sounded amazing and he mentioned that they can be boxed up so we could take them home. Thank you Keiran for your excellent service that day...xx

Party of 7 ordered from Christmas menu 3 coursed starters were prawn cocktail, pate and filled yourshire. Mains were Turkey dinners and sweets Perfiterols, sherry trifle. I can honestly say no one had any complaints. Very large portions, very tasty and hot. Excellent value for money with very good service. Would def recommend the Christmas menu

My wife and I are regular visitors to the Lakeland Gate and find it excellent value for money. On this occasion we both had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and we felt that we should thank the chef through our server. So thank you to chef Jake and the rest of the staff for great food and service.
