Myself and my partner stayed here last night . We could not complain about anything at all the service we got was incredible , the staff were really helpful we will defo use this place again

Disappointed by the shabbiness of our room in the annex (405) which was freezing cold, had a broken heater, lots of dust and stained linen. All in all, a bit grim!

Welcoming staff and quite atmosphere

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at the Carlisle Premier Inn Hotel last month. Having travelled down from the Midlands for work, I arrived at 9pm, expecting the reliable and comfortable experience I’ve come to associate with Premier Inn. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at one of your hotels. Upon checking in, I walked through the corridor leading to my room, and the smell was appalling – it reeked like a gutter. To my dismay, my room was on the same floor. When I entered the room, it was freezing cold despite the bitterly cold temperature outside (-3°C). Shockingly, the window had been left open, and it took nearly two hours for the room to warm up after I closed it. The cleanliness of the room was another major letdown. The bed sheets were dirty, with visible stains and a hair on the pillow, making me doubt whether the linens had even been changed. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Premier Inn brand. To add to the frustration, the water pressure in the bathroom tap was abysmal, making it inconvenient to use. In the morning, I reported these issues to the receptionist as I was leaving in a rush for work. Unfortunately, her lack of interest was astonishing – she acted as though this was expected, which only added to my disappointment. I have images and videos documenting all of these issues, and this was truly the worst Premier Inn experience I have ever had. As someone who has stayed at numerous Premier Inns across the UK, I have always trusted the brand to deliver quality, but this stay has completely shattered that trust. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to address the issues at this location. The state of the rooms, cleanliness, and customer service need urgent attention. I am deeply dissatisfied and expected much better from Premier Inn. Rating: 1/5

Lovely place to stay. Staff are warm and friendly and the rooms are clean. Great location for visiting local attractions. Restaurant next door is great. Food is good and reasonably priced.

Not up to PIs usual standard. The r oom was smelly and rather tired. The curtain rail fell off when I tried to close the curtains and the water pressure was very low. My room managed to be beside the lift and stairs with people clumping up and down the stairs proving noisier than the lift.

Really cosy place good pub next door and great chippy to the left on Warwick road

Stayed in the Annex . Not a n issue walking across for breakfast and the bar. Might be an idea for a top up tea bags /coffee/ drinks snack machine in the annex.

Best hotel I have been to. Friendly staff, clean room, best nights sleep I have had. Can I have one of your beds please

Travel plans changed, and I ended up at the Premier Inn just after 8 in the morning. The staff went out of their way to get my room ready for early check-in. Had a good breakfast at the restaurant. Friendly helpful staff & service. The room was comfortable and clean.

My wife Lynette and I have recently had a very good time in this lovely Inn. The staff were just so welcoming and helpful in every way and certainly deserve full credit. The rooms are just very comfortable with lovely comfortable beds and facilities are great. The restaurant here has excellent staff and the food was always excellent too! It's premier inn with great service. Staff are helpful and want to please. Attached is the restaurant for meals and breakfast. Decent size car park with no height limits. 5 minutes up the road, you have the Motorway. There are big superstores on your drive to the motorway. Would I stay again yes.

Everything I would expect from a premier Inn.

Not the best of Premier Inns. Both soap dispensers did not work. Loud music from the speakers at breakfast. Dark rooms. Toilets unsatisfactory.

Great location attended for graduation. Welcome with a smile. Staff on premier inn side are wonderful, chatty, child friendly, very accommodating. Room on the car park side was quiet, clean, comfortable, has everything you would expect. Lift was out of action but didn't hinder us might have to someone less able. Unfortunately the brewers fayre next door where you are served breakfast and where we chose to eat an evening meal let's this place down. Cold food, poor choices, soft play shut at 7pm so promised kids a play and couldn't by time we arrived. Soft play is not free there is a charge to use that area also. I had a bad reaction to the food and ended up ill overnight, nearly cancelling my graduation plans because of it. If we ever stayed again I would have gone up the road to the Toby Cavery for some real food. The bar maid/ waitress was lovely however, can't be said for all staff. Breakfast was more limited than I've found in other premier inns no brown bread only malted bread. The experience was average at best.

We stayed here for one night when we were travelling to Scotland. The receptionist was cheery and helpful and explained where everything was etc. Our rooms were situated in an annex which meant coming out of the main building into a block alongside the car park but that was fine. The rooms were clean and had tea and coffee making items. Beds were comfortable too. The next day we went to breakfast which is situated in the main building. Orders were taken for cooked breakfast and you help yourself to cereal, fruit, toast and drinks. The food was nicely cooked and you could order as much as you want. The hotel is nicely positioned and easy to find.

First time staying at that Premier Inn and fantastic service, Cara on reception was amazing and also the staff at the Brewers Fayre were outstanding Would highly recommend.

Perfect location to visit Carlisle and areas

Stayed with friends as we were attending Carlisle races for 2 days. Hotel and staff were excellent.

Nice enough room, unfortunately could hear a lot of noise from the neighbouring room and they were up at 5:00am.... Quick and friendly check in. Great location for a stop over en route to Scotland, close to motorway and supermarkets to buy provisions for holiday cottage

Really have no complaints, Aircon would have been nice as the room was warm but we were aware of this when we booked. The room is exactly as you expect from a Premier Inn however I did think the usually excellent mattress was passed its best with a bit of a dip in the middle. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location was ideal for our needs and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Be aware no lift I asked for a room on ground floor because husband has mobility issues they said we had a room on the third floor! I said there is NO way he cant walk up all those stairs! Still ended up with a room on first floor. If you have mobility issues there are LOTS of stairs if you don't get a room on the ground floor! Restaurant attached is expensive and not very good!

Went for the upgraded room. Immaculate. Entrance facing the arena so perfect but no parking available. Not a long walk, but a bit of a drag with cases.

Was a great stay here. From quick easy check-in to comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Free parking great restaurant next door.

Exactly what you'd expect from a PI. We went for an away football match and it's ideal for Carlisle Utd ground. All staff are helpful and friendly. Do book a table for Saturday lunch though if you're there for a pre-match pint and bite.

I have stayed in a few Premier inns recently for work and there seems to be this thing where the restaurant has had to suddenly close leaving then looking for somewhere else to eat in the evening and also no breakfast!!! This has now happened on several occasions, has anyone else experienced this? It now put me off booking with Premier inns ever again
