The best restaurants serving Default food in Canonbury Islington London

This is my favourite go-to Indian delivery. Being of Indian heritage, I can highly recommend this place. They cater for all levels of chilli heat - so as someone who likes it hot - I can ask for this and it is addressed - which is not always possible with other restaurants. I have been ordering from here for years and they know me when I call and are personable and know my choice adjustments for my taste. Love this place. Portions are always generous and well flavoured - always well considered no matter which spice height you prefer.

Absolutely so lovely!! We came in really close to kitchen close during our friends birthday and they were so accommodating to make us food, which was absolutely delicious! El pub es precioso y guarda un montón de recuerdos para mí cuando era niño jugando en los columpios al aire libre mientras tomaba una coca y un paquete de patatas fritas. El pub está súper de moda ahora y he visitado muchas veces como adulto, pero no por un tiempo. Visité con los padres esta semana, ya que está cerca de ellos. Pero estaba decepcionado con la comida simplemente se sentía bastante caro y grasiento. Teníamos sándwich de pescado con dedos - pescado con patatas fritas y sándwich de ensalada de pollo. Simplemente me sentí cremoso y grasiento no es agradable en absoluto y muy caro.

Experiencia absolutamente impactante. En apariencia parecía que había colas distintas formadas en cada caja, con cada miembro del personal sirviendo a los clientes en la cola frente a ellos. Sin embargo, después de esperar mi turno y llegar al frente de la cola. La funcionaria decidió comenzar a servir otra cola que ya estaba siendo atendida. Al ser interrogada, declaró que era un bar y no una cola a pesar de que solo servía su cola designada. Una mentira obvia y su forma de actuar su discriminación y prejuicios a voluntad. No es agradable cuando las personas pueden caracterizar a otros por sus propios criterios prejuiciosos cuando están en un rol de servicio al cliente. Muy pobre y nunca volverá a mostrar clientelismo a ese establecimiento!

Visited here today and had a great breakfast! Was so happy to find they did Turkish coffee!!! Amazing value for money and the service and staff were incredible!! Will definitely be back!

This is my local and I've been coming here for over a year since I moved to Islington. It's a quiet bar with great clientele. It's decorated wonderfully with plants and has nice low lit lighting. The landlord has been nothing but welcoming since my partner and I first started visiting. They put on some amazing Jazz nights on Thursdays. Their selection of beers is quite niche which is a nice change from the usual selection you get at most other pubs. The garden out back is nice and cosy with outdoor heaters and fairy lights. You won't be disappointed!

I made the mistake of ignoring the bad reviews, thinking “how bad can they be?” Cue two hours of them saying that either the food had been delivered or that it was on its way, when neither was true. It never came and they were horrible on the phone when I tried to complain. For your own sake, avoid at all costs
