The best restaurants serving Default food in Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon Chelmsford East of England

HUDSONS cafe has fantastic coffee, wonderful homemade cakes and a warm welcoming friendly staff. It’s my favourite place to go for a relaxing chat and refreshments.

Very poor experience nearly 1hr waiting for food and there was two other people in there. Food come up warm to cold. The sticky tables, VERY OVER PRICED

Lot 33 catered my wedding in October and were amazing in the lead up and on the day itself. The communication in the lead up was great, they dealt with a lot of questions from me and were very quick to respond. The pizza on the day was delicious and our guests were raving about it. They catered for gluten free and vegan which was great and they even managed to set up an extra tent when the weather wasn’t great. Thank you for everything!

Lunch was AMAZING! Fish was ordered in for me. 1 of my friends has many allergies & were listened to & addressed. We will be back soon.

We'd been to Danbury Lakes and found the closest pub to go have some lunch. So we were introduced to The Bell and wow I'm so pleased we were. Let by Daniel who's lovely and had a choice of seats as a walking club who had booked table were not walking sure to the heat. 32C We were both made welcome and seated with a fan. Complementary water at the bar was nice. The menu is quite extensive and the food we chose was well worth it. I had the Sausage Melt and my wife had a Cheese/Onion baguette. Both come with salad and chips, and they were very filling. Such a nice place to eat with great food, friendly staff who made us very welcome. Just to note this is a dog friendly pub, with facilities for the larger dogs like Greyhounds too. So to follow this up, we are looking to have a lunch with friends with our dogs, when the weather is less crazy.

Lots of staff, lots of tables but struggled to see if we could come in to eat…. Told we couldn’t order a Sunday roast but could order from the bar menu, ordered, food came and it was a little on the poor side, not what I’ve seen in the photos from Google…. Asked at time of ordering if the cheese baguette came with pickle or anything else? (Not just cheese) was told yes…. Well it was just cheese with a little side salad - then it came to paying our bill… was told to go to the bar to pay… wasn’t shown a receipt and just given the card machine to pay, paid, got given the receipt ( thank god) and left restaurant got down the road then looked at receipt, realised we had been charged for an extra meal and the full price for fries when it should have been an add on price - turned around, went back to pub and had to ask for a refund- staff were saying Millie should have taken that off, she was told to do that… turns out Mille was the one we paid…. Feel a little taken advantage of… Millie also didn’t seem to care just walked off and said ” oh sorry “ with no explanation to why we were charged for a whole extra meal… won’t be returning I’m afraid.

Always a worry visiting a cafe when one of your party is coeliac, but the staff were so knowledgeable, separate prep areas, good range of choice. Highly recommend, especially on a sunny day which we were lucky enough to have. Thank you

We have been collecting Fish & Chips from The Bakers Arms since the start of Covid which has always been fantastic. Tonight on the recommendation of my son, we went and ate in and oh my god, I didn’t think it could get any better but it was amazing. Can’t believe that not having to unwrap them would make such a difference. Well done #TeamBakersArms. Sorry no photos as was too hungry.

Terrible … staff were rude and not very accommodating of a nut allergy even joking “well just don’t eat any nuts!” 😳 Cocktails were awful and did not come in correct glasses being told that they only have one martini glass left … food was average and atmosphere was dead. Avoid. Staff have attitude!

Hate to complain, but I was extremely disappointed when I paid £13.00 for 2 tiny chicken and bacon wraps. Must be new produce and ingredients used with the new management. As I remember the wrap being double the size firstly, and with freshly cooked warm chicken and bacon. Along with a huge Great hair that was wrapped up in the wrap, things like that make me feel really sick so of course I threw the whole thing away, even more of a waste of money. Perhaps staff need to wear hair nets as well as having their hair tied back. I used to love this place and I'd happily pay higher price for better quality.

What an experience the best Sunday roast ever, service great food out of this world, David could not have been more professional if he tried absolutely brilliant day for my birthday totally recommend must go back soon, like all of the Olio's chain brilliant. Thanks David for a great meal and time

My recent business meeting visit highlighted the exceptional quality of their fresh food. The grilled fresh lobster, though small due to the season was fantastic. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Dover sole on the bone, which really showcased the fish's freshness – I believe it comes from the owner's friend's boat. The panko king prawns with lemon were also excellent. Prices are fair for the fresh-caught fish selection, including Dover sole, skate, halibut, and sea bass. steaks are also very good . The staff were excellent. Would I return? Try and stop me

An excellent authentic Italian: superb welcome and service; exceptionally good food; and a highly economical set lunch menu for £15. Probably the best minestrone soup; probably the finest pizza Margherita. Unconditionally recommended!!

Lovely food, very quick service and very reasonably priced. We didn’t have to wait very long for food and was seated immediately ready to order

the staff and food were excellent, my mother has several different lung and chest issues and started having a coughing fit, without me asking one of the bar staff came over with a glass of water, it's was appreciated very much
