This is a hidden gem in Danbury. The coffee is wonderful and cheaper than nearly everywhere else. There are lots of food and drinks to choose from with beautiful home made cakes. The cafe has tables, chairs and settees and there are extra chairs if needed. It is run by volunteers and there is a lovely atmosphere when you enter. The cafe opens into the hall where mothers and toddlers meet and other large groups. It is attached to the Church but is open to everyone. There is plenty of parking and also blue badge parking. This is certainly a community cafe and a community asset.

I have been going to Hudson's since it opened about three years ago. The coffee is good and is tested for taste by the staff before it opens to ensure that customers get the best taste from their coffee. The tea is also very good there is a large selection and I like the tea pots as you can remove the strainer so that the tea doesn't get too strong. The cakes are home made and are all delicious, they make homemade gluten free cakes which are fabulous. The staff and volunteers are always happy to help and support where needed. The toilets are always fresh and clean The disabled toilet and baby change room is also clean and large. Since Covid the social distancing has been very well thought out and is amazing and the routine is set to ensure that every one is as safe as possible. It is not only useful for friends to meet but for family's who can bring a buggy into the building and park it beside your table without any issues. For the elderly there is plenty of space for wheelchairs, sticks and other equipment. It is an all round customer good experience. Would love it to be open on Saturdays. I have noticed there are bike racks outside and plenty of parking.

A group of us come here regularly after a country walk which starts in the car park. We are welcomed to park in their car park and would recommend this to other walking groups.(do ask permission first) The tea rooms are serviced by volunteers in the main and they are always friendly and helpful. Cakes are great and a good selection of hot and cold drinks. A regular stop for us.

Having Hudsons so close to where I work is a dangerous thing! Wendy and the team do a great job at being welcoming and on my daily coffee run it takes all my self control not to indulge in the wonderful cakes on display.Good coffee, nice atmosphere - highly recommend. Also great for those with little ones, My daughter loves the little play area and is also a sucker for the chocolate brownie!

Staff very accommodating and friendly! I had a toasty recommended by staff and it was good value for money. Staff seemed to know most customers, which shows it's a welcoming place. I will keep this in mind for next time I am in the area and need a quick bite to eat while needing to do some emails.

This lovely, bright, clean, spacious and modern cafe is a real asset to Danbury.I popped in for coffee and a cake before an appointment nearby, and it was a very good experience. The coffee was perfect and the cake looked home-made, and was a generous portion. It is run by the church (Danbury Mission) and not open every day, so check before you make a special visit.

We've been coming in for teas for about 9 months now. Best place in Danbury great food, teas coffee and cold drinks. Served by smiling helpful people. Being in a church may put some people off but if this is you, please try it. Nothing like a traditional church and no one tries to convert you!!

I've been here a few times with my two under threes and with friends who have similar age. It's so much more relaxing than going to other cafes, firstly because there's so much space so plenty of room for buggies and all the other things that you have with children and secondly because there are toys and books to keep them occupied. It makes meeting friends for coffee a real pleasure. We also love the cream tea days, great value with two large scones.

We love the coffee and love the ambience. Hudson's is modern, comfortable and boasts very reasonable prices. The cakes are a must (Particularly the brownie!). Storytime on a Wednesday is also a highlight for the under 5s. Keep it up Hudsons!

A group of us finished a walk nearby and not wanting to go to the nearest tea shop (several bad experiences) decided to try Hudsons. Very nice, clean, comfortable, lots of choice. We all said we would come again next time we walk in the area. Unfortunately it is only open Wed to Sun. Hopefully they'll be able to expands their hours.

This is a great place to go to catch up with friends. It has a very relaxed atmosphere with fantastic coffee and the cake is delicious. Toasted sandwiches are also a great choice. Although I don't have children, it is also a great place to bring children, as there is lots of space for them to play and a play station to keep them occupied. Overall, a great coffee shop!!!!

We visit Central Park café in Chelmsford at least once a week. It’s a perfect stop off for a coffee and a bite to eat as part of our dog walking routine in the park. The food and drink is always top notch, and they have an offer for the doggies too - from puppaccinos to sausage pots - and also bake amazing pupcakes (which I order every year on my doggies birthday as a little treat for her and her furiends). This is a really special place. It has such a family atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly.

Fantastic pre booked afternoon tea of cakes and sandwiches with plain scones . Originally booked for 4 people but extra person came as well and as we had let them know the day before it was sorted out fine. The food was lovely and so much for £12.95 a head. Service was excellent and very efficient. Would definitely book again.

This cafe was so lovely! From the beautiful decor to the fab service, me and my mum were so impressed! We were both served quickly- we had toasties and a hot drink each, which tasted delicious, and the plates that the food was served on had a lovely flowery design. Also, the toilets were clean and nicely decorated.

Visited this coffee bar with high expectations due to its 4.9-star rating but left very disappointed. I arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a quick coffee but was ignored by two staff members who were too busy chatting and laughing to notice customers. After finally catching their attention to place an order, I paid £3.90 for my coffee and took a seat. Despite the bar being nearly empty with only five other patrons, we waited patiently for over 10 minutes while the staff continued chatting. When I approached the counter to inquire about the delay, they admitted to having forgotten our order because the ticket "wasn't printed." They refunded me in cash, but by then, my husband no longer had time to enjoy the coffee. Adding to the disappointment, the tables were dirty, and the seating was uncomfortable. This was the worst customer service I've experienced in years, and it’s baffling how this place has such high ratings. I won’t be returning.
