One of the best traditional cafes in the area if not all of North Bedfordshire. Offering a fantastic range of meals & drinks served anytime of the day from the classic Full English Breakfast to a wide selection of sandwiches & filled rolls including tasty pasta dishes and a mouth watering range of cakes, buns, pastries and desserts. But what makes the Caffe Piccolo so special is the friendly and warm welcome you get as soon as you walk through the door. The perfect place to order a cappuccino & something to eat and just sit back & relax... un posto perfetto!

Cold food. No filling in the spring rolls and very hard. Satay sauce is more like pure oil with barely any chicken. Duck soggy not crispy. The Special Chow mein ok but would not re order. Ribs are pure fat. The only edible thing was the prawn crackers. Picture to show just how oily My daughter also bit into something incredibly hard in the rice. Not sure what it is. Photo attached. Her tooth could not bite through it (she is 10 so doesn’t usually struggle to bite food) When I called to mention the lady did not care at all. £45 later and looks like I’ll be cooking tonight.

Haven't been to my local for a while. New menu, some new staff and a really nice evening. Recommend the £17 for three tapas style menu - super tasty and the kitchen obviously takes pride on presentation too. Glad to be back!

A party of nine of us ate here for my husbands birthday celebration. Young waiter very attentive and we were treated very well all evening. Lovely atmosphere and attractive setting. Nice choice of dishes on menu and I thought prices reasonable for this sort of hotel. My choice was haddock fish cakes for a starter followed by lamb, both of which were delicious. The lamb was particularly tender. My dessert choice was chocolate brownie which went down very well. The wines we chose were really good a Sauvignon Blanc and a couple of bottles of Rioja. My only criticism is that two of our party including the birthday boy chose the sea bass and it was a bit light on accompaniments. Why is it that fish dishes are always so much smaller than meat. Just because you eat fish doesn’t mean that you want a little meal. Apart from that an excellent meal which we all enjoyed, good service and somewhere we will certainly go again.
