I recently had my wedding at Woodland Manor and it was amazing, without a hiccup or fault! From the first moment I visited the venue at a wedding fair, the staff were very helpful and quickly able to provide a bespoke quote. Our wedding planner (then Ailish but Teri as of this year) were fantastic even in the early stages of planning, always quick to respond to queries and provide helpful suggestions. Teri has been amazing with helping me finalise details this year to help us achieve our vision. Teri was so helpful both the day before and on the day ensuring everything ran smoothly, the room was turned around on time and the cake was set up perfectly. Lots of guests commented on not only how smoothly the day ran but also how good Teri and the wider woodland manor staff were. Everyone is trained really well and so friendly and helpful! The venue is also very reasonably priced and our guests who stayed over enjoyed the rooms and breakfast. We will definitely be coming back to visit the venue for food and drink in the future!

We had our wedding here last month. We hired exclusive so it was just our wedding party/ guests on site & also so we had all the rooms and our guests could stay if they wished, The rooms are gorgeous and well worth the money! Was the most amazing day in such a beautiful setting, everyone loved the food for our wedding breakfast! Teri was the best person we could have wished for to oversee our day, communication was fantastic, she made sure everything was spot on & we can’t thank her enough 💜 We will be back for sure!

We held a birthday party here and it was fantastic…the food…location….staff…the beautiful rooms and grounds…couldn’t fault anything. Tiffany was outstanding at arranging everything for us, nothing was too much trouble. We would 💯 recommend for all sorts of occasions!

We used this hotel as a base for visiting my new grandson so just needed a clean bed to sleep in. We didnt use any in house facilities ie breakfast etc but we did use the bar , the drinks prices were decent which was nice. There was a wedding party on one of the nights and we were given ample notice however apart from the guests mingling outside its really all we heard. If I had to be picky it was the fact I was aware of discarded mattresses in the grounds , out side our room was one and I saw a disorganised pile from the stairs.. I'm assuming they were being changed en Mass as 2 days later they were all gone. Oh yeah guys the corridor interconnecting doors handplates are visibly grubby, need a deep clean. ( your rooms are sparkly clean, bring this to the corridors) Would I stay again.. definitely, for the price it made an ideal base.

The hotel is nice, unfortunately I was here on a business trip and I had almost no wifi signal in the back rooms. Breakfast classic England so average. If I show up here again next time, I would like it if the wifi signal is worked on.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights (29 & 30 March). We were here for a wedding and couldn’t fault it. The staff were amazing, nothing too much trouble and very accommodating. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room we had was large and comfortable. We would like to thank all the staff for making it a very enjoyable experience. We stayed in this hotel in November 2022 for one night with our 4 month old. We were part of a group who were staying after a party. Unfortunately, I woke up in the hotel bed surrounded by bed bugs. We immediately called reception and had an assistant manager come to the room who witnessed this for herself. I was sharing a bed with my baby and felt absolutely disgusted she had been in the same space as the bedbugs. Luckily, she was laying in a baby pod so was slightly raised off the surface of the mattress and pretty much all covered up including hands. Unfortunately for me I had slept in only a nightdress and majority of my body exposed. So, we were moved rooms and told we could stay in this new room for as long as needed. But I just wanted to get home. Whilst still in the original room, I took photos and videos and followed up with an email to the hotel manager the next day. This is when my bites started to show and it became clear I was bitten from head to toe, with huge red bites which subsequently became infected and needed antibiotics. In the following few days; the bites became worse as the intense itching caused such a painful infection. The hotel manager got back to me after a few days with a really unpleasant email suggesting I had bought the bedbugs into the hotel myself and that the photos of my bites were not genuine. Impossible considering I’d never seen them before and suddenly I’m in bed with them and bitten head to toe, after one night away from home. I decided to put a formal claim against this hotel for how I was treated after we left. Low and behold, their insurance carried out their necessary checks and inspections and they admitted liability. Not having followed proper procedure to ensure prevention of bedbug infestations and clearly, not thorough clean between guests. Fast forward to the present day, and I have won my claim in court. It has effected me massively and has caused anxieties for staying away from home. It makes me feel physically sick still to this day. Please be very, very cautious staying here and if you do, double, triple check your bedsheets!!

When it first arrived I was a little bit disappointed at the size of the regular pizza - but as soon as I tasted it I was no longer disappointed! It was SO good. Generous amount of toppings too. I was so full after eating it so I’m actually glad I didn’t go for anything more.

Overall It's ok, and just ok at that. The chippy when 1st arrived, elevated with its curiosity a draw to this shopping area and was a bit of a star, however quickly though it's become reflective of the area, style over substance. It hasn't done anything special to warrent a special reputation. Make excellencent flavoured batter and beautifully light flaky Cod fish. Make your own curry sauce. Break the mould with your chips, steak chips perhaps, a dusting of flavouring maybe, crispy outside, fluffy in the middle. Do this well and stars will shine again.

Food arrived and was underwhelming. Items were missing and clearly hadn’t been packed by Foxy Wings as they were part of a meal deal. Manager hid behind the fact that we ordered through Deliveroo and didn’t offer in any way to rectify the situation we were in. Told us to seek a refund through Deliveroo. However that does not help the situation in that moment….. family still hungry!! Overall the most expensive burgers we have ever eaten!!!!!! After being such huge supporters of this individual business and even crowdfunding this space I am hugely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have recommended this restaurant numerous times. Missing items is not the issue, how management deal with that is the problem. Very very poor! If Foxy Wings choose to use Deliveroo then they must be prepared, particularly as an independent restaurant, to consider how your reputation could be damaged in situations such as this. The management were completely inflexible and didn’t seem to see the issue. Getting a refund in a couple of weeks time doesn’t ensure we all enjoy and eat a celebration meal together now!
