Caffe Piccolo in Bedford

One of the best traditional cafes in the area if not all of North Bedfordshire. Offering a fantastic range of meals & drinks served anytime of the day from the classic Full English Breakfast to a wide selection of sandwiches & filled rolls including tasty pasta dishes and a mouth watering range of cakes, buns, pastries and desserts. But what makes the Caffe Piccolo so special is the friendly and warm welcome you get as soon as you walk through the door. The perfect place to order a cappuccino & something to eat and just sit back & relax... un posto perfetto!

The loveliest staff in the world run this wonderful little cafe in the High Street, Clapham , Bedford. Genuine home cooked food made on the premises include super samosas, tasty tray bakes, a fab weekly fritatta and a gobsmaking hunk of bread pudding the like of which i haven't had in 50 years! They usually bake the latter on a Tuesday and when its gone its gone so I suggest you get there about midday and buy at least 2 pieces. Great on the day the sticky gooey treat gets even better for leaving over night and having the second piece the next day. As H Simpson would say..."mmmmm...sacrilicious"!!

Amazing food, helpful and friendly staff, clean and tidy. Highly recommend a visit to this little cafe. Visited on Saturday with 4 children the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. We will defiantly be going back. Thank you for the great service.

We walked in almost one hour before closing time. Our food order was refused. Place was dead and it looked like they wanted to close early and go home. Avoid, especially when hungry and if you don't like playing a lottery.

We are addicted to getting our work lunch filled rolls from here. The bread is fresh, plenty of filling and lovely friendly staff. Cake selection has improved over time. A definite asset to Clapham.

We travelled/diverted to this cafe on our journey home to Worcestershire as we knew we would find very friendly, pleasant, helpful staff and exceptional food at a reasonable price. We were not disappointed. This cafe comes highly recommended. Thank you everyone.

A tiny cafe that serves big portions at an excellent price. I wish we had tried to this place sooner. We’ve been in Clapham for a few years but only started to buy lunch here in the last few months. The frittata only seems to be available on certain days (Tuesday is one, I think) but is amaaaaazing. Honestly the best frittata I’ve ever had. It’s packed full of caramelised veg and served in very generous wedges. The cheese and tomato paninis are also excellent. Much more substantial than your average cafe panini, it keeps me full for hours at a fraction of the price of a chain cafe. Sandwiches are also generously filled. The fillings aren’t labelled in the counter but my partner enjoys the chicken tikka. They seem to have a loyal base of regular customers and I’m not surprised. If you haven’t been, it’s well worth a visit.

Been in a few times in recent weeks, they have Great Food and Great Prices as well as Very friendly staff! We will be back again soon!

Enjoyed a local cooked brekkie at the weekend. Run by two lovely ladies. This is a proper cafe in its traditional sense. A breath of fresh air to these poncy bistro types. An absolute gem

Love this little cafe, lovely friendly staff, great coffee and the best bacon rolls in the world........oh and they have chocolate toothpaste too !!! Fab place, highly recommended

In the parade of shops at Clapham just north of Bedford on the A6 with easy parking outside. Excellent tasty breakfast which was freshly cooked. Very good value for money. Also have a great selection of sandwiches and rolls and cakes. Friendly and prompt service. Give it a try.

Caffe Piccolo is located at the end of a row of shops on the old A6 in Clapham just outside Bedford.I stopped there yesterday and purchased some samosas,a bakewell cake,and a couple of freshly made egg and tomato baps.My food was extremely nice and i did find it difficult to choose which fillings to have as there were so many to choose from. The baps were fresh and i struggled to finish them,served by a friendly chatty gentleman who i think was the owner.....the full English breakfast did look tempting,a customer was tucking in as i entered the shop.....plenty of choice on a decent menu and i would not hesitate to return. Visited 12th Jan 2018.

If you are looking for the best, tastiest and freshest food served up with a smile and a joke from the owners, you need look no further. The full English breakfast is the best you will ever taste. Try the freshly prepared sandwiches and rolls and you will be left wanting more.

As usual another excellent healthy lunch from this fantastic cafe. The friendly staff, the freshly prepared food makes this cafe a must. Great menu and the other reviews seem to say it all! Top grub!

Looks like a small cafe, it is a small cafe. The host is full of smiles and jokes and makes this a nice place to eat. Fresh burger with salad , chips and a drink for £4.20. Kids loved it.

A menudo tengo mi almuerzo en Caffé Piccolo cuando pasan. El personal es estupendo, siempre muy amable, educado y acogedor. La mejor parte es la comida, absolutamente fantástico. Una gran variedad de alimentos frescos, desde un desayuno inglés completo a una gran variedad de bocadillos y bollos rellenos de o Panini caliente recién hechos y pizza, también tienen tartas recién hechas. Lo mismo va para bebidas, desde bebidas frías Capuchinos/lattes e incluso tés de hierbas. Si estás en la zona, recomiendo absolutamente Caffé Piccolo a todo el mundo, jóvenes y ancianos, tienen algo bueno y sabroso para todo el mundo.
