The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Derry Western NI

My family had a night out, 13 of us went to Rainbow. The young girl who took the order done her best but there were too many extra sides and 2 main meals too many. It was the next day I realised that I had been seriously over charged for mains and sides that we didn't order. I called in to the restaurant when it was quiet and approached staff to discuss the order (in a pleasant appraoch) and was quite rudely told by a middle aged female member of staff that the extra food was left on the table and so it must be paid for. My wife ordered an extra "portion of chicken" which they charged us for "a chicken curry with no veg or curry sauce" (most expensive side I've ever paid for), they also brought out an extra chicken fried rice main meal which nobody ordered and supposedly left it on the table. I explained that we ordered 8 main adult meals and there were 10 main meals on the order. The lady was dismissive and rude and basically told me that the food order on the reciept was provided and she fully supported that the "extra portion of dry chicken" was okay to be charged as "A chicken Curry with no Veg or curry sauce" (shocking) . There was also extra portions of chips and 2 extra portions of curry to the table that we didn't order which they kindly added to my bill.. there was loads of extra food left (that we didn't order).. The ladies attitude was terrible and after getting nowhere talking I said that I will not be back and she replied smartly "OKAY - BYE".. As for the food, it was greasy as hell. the floor was slippy with grease. Lesson learned - Neither me or my family will ever step foot in the place again. As for the owners, have a word with the staff about customer service, maybe teach the older lady member of staff some customer care. Advice - stand clear.

Attended on Saturday night for a birthday, we have been twice before to dine in when visiting Derry. Food was lovely however, inside the restaurant was freezing. We couldn't take our coats off it was too cold to eat without them. I had also ordered a Mojito and there wasn't any lime put in it just lime cordial. I don't mind if somewhere doesn't do specific cocktails but don't charge £9 for a cocktail that doesn't include the right ingredients. I did really enjoy the food but for the above reasons and the price as others have mentioned, we won't be back.

Stunning food , beef and black bean is my favourite best in town

What was a firm favourite of mine is now no longer. Don't honestly know what is going on here, the food has gone seriously downhill and the price has gone the opposite way. In my last few visits I noticed a change to the taste and quality of the food and tonight was the nail in the coffin. We got a takeaway which was horrendous and to top it off after driving half an hour to collect it to be told it was cash only in the takeaway was very frustrating....its going to be a while before I would even contemplate going back.

Horrendous, the food was 20 minutes over what we were advised but no big deal at this time of year HOWEVER! When it arrived one of the orders was wrong, all three were congealed like they'd been lying around for a good while before being sent out. They charged £8 each for three specials the first two practically inedible and were dumped the third one after eating two thirds I discovered a piece of slate/tile/stone whatever the hell it was is not intended to be in food whatsoever. First and absolute last time I ever order food from here seriously folks don't waste your money 🤬

Terrible food,chips prepped at least twice and a thimble of sweet n sour sauce. Very disappointed as we have been going there for years. Used to be the best in the Waterside. Will be going elsewhere in future.

Ordered a family meal deal and a complete burger and curry dip not included in the bag! Paid £18 and a good chunk of the meal not there!!! No help offered whatsoever on the other end... absolute disgrace...will never go near it again!!!

Best Chinese takeaway in Derry, in my humble opinion. Portion sizes are huge, prices are decent, food tastes great and my order is always ready to pick up by the time I get to the door. Been going there for years and I’ve never had a complaint. Highly recommend the Munchy Box for sharing.

This place used to be the best in Derry and now possibly the worst, I think they are living on their past reputation, what ever cheap muck meat they are now using in the black bean is barely identifiable as beef, Chicken Chinese style used to be top notch now uneatable, if they changed chef recently they need to sack him again. He is clueless .

Recently got a takeaway delivery. Arrived an hour late. Cold and soggy. Have filled out a contact form from their website with no reply as yet. Food couldn't be eaten it was so cold. Got from there before though and it was really nice
