The best restaurants serving British food in Caerwent Monmouthshire South Wales

Great pub lovely meal last night, have eaten at the Woodlands Tavern several times and the food / hospitality is always first class. Big thumbs 👍 up and three four stars !

Service was good, can't fault that. The food wasn't particularly great at all. When you order belly pork you expect a piece of nicely roasted pork with the fat cooked well, with crisp crackling. For the second time now, we were given a piece of puffed up unsalted pork scratching, of the type you buy in a pack. Nobody, I repeat nobody ordering belly pork wants that. We want real crackling. The fact that this is the second time we've had this indicates that the chef thinks this is acceptable, its not. Please remove it from the dish and give real crackling with the pork. Cheers.
