18 of Killicomaine Jubilee Club went here for our Christmas Lunch. The room was freezing ( a member of staff did bring a tiny fan heater out). No Christmas decorations on the tables, not even a cracker or Christmas napkins. No background music. The turkey parcels were only half ones, one cocktail sausage, one roast potato and mashed potatoes Roast beef dinner consisted of 2 wafer thin slices and same as above without the cocktail sausage. Plenty of vegetables. The dessert wasn't the greatest either. Our end of year meal and venue was so disappointing. One of the members described it as soulless and that's what it was at a cost of £19.95 each. Not a bit of wonder we were the only one's there

You could see the lasagna in the hot food counter had already been pre-cut into portion sizes.- then when we ordered THEY CUT THE PRE-PORTION SIZE IN HALF Cheeky 25 quid Bit cheeky like 25 quid for child size portions - And you can see from the picture how small it was and then a handful undercooked chips

When the food is good, it’s really good. Perfect place to get a ‘tasty’ grub. However, this place used to be the best chippy in town. It was my go to chippy for almost 20 years, I remember when there was handmade ice cream! The previous owners had a great relationship with their customers, community and staff alike, and the staff themselves were a credit to the shop. A huge loss for JP’s. The current owners seem extremely rude, the way they speak to their staff is unacceptable and they make it known they aren’t happy when there is a problem with an order. Food is now a hit or miss, my chips were burnt and cold, as if they had been sitting for ages. Prices have drastically increased since the change of management. 5p for sauce on a burger! Used to be free. Lettuce and Mayo used to be included on a fillet burger, now charged as extras. Too money hungry. It’s a shame the spirit of the place is no longer the same. The old JP’s is sorely missed!

Purchased a fish supper and on entering my kitchen my partner said that smells like cat pee the fish smell was overwhelming,I remember Jamie Oliver saying if you can smell the fish it means it’s off ,later on in the evening I went to my kitchen for supper to be overwhelmed with stinky fish ,even my cat who loves fish wouldn’t eat it…shan’t be back way to expensive.
