Unfortunately there are very limited gluten free options here. Very disappointing for such a lovely place with such a varied menu. Only 1 cake from display cabinets full of them that was GF, but even then they wouldn't confirm no cross contamination. The waitress explained you could take your own GF bread, but why can't they by in GF bread? Also a very long wait time for a table.

Do NOT go here for roast dinner. That (Terrible) Tea Room was an absolute joke. Forget a 15 minute wait for tap water, or even the 40 minute wait for the "food" - Do not advertise Sunday Roast if it isn't. Slimy, cold beef served with a dry yorkshire pudding, 2 roast potatoes and a "selection" of steamed veg and greasy mashed potato. We walked out before even attempting to consume what we'd been given. SO poor. No problem with the servers, it's not their fault - but goodness they seemed way out of their depth. Stick to cakes and sandwiches chaps.

This cafe has just changed hands, is been renovated by new owners, also allows dogs inside, and a new menu starts next week

We were meeting up with relatives that we had not seen for many years and at our suggestion met at the garden centre as a halfway point between our houses. We had last stopped for quick refreshments a couple of years ago when it has just re-opened and we quite satisfied then but not this time. We arrived late morning and staff told us that the breakfast menu was still available. Service was very slow; the men's order eventually arrived at least 3 minutes before what the ladies had ordered and then when those arrived they were dire. Both orders were wrong in some way; presentation could have been a great deal better and hot food should be served on warm plates As our relations had said they would pay I felt very embarrassed that meeting up at the garden centre had been our suggestion.
