A wonderful evening at Wilder, great food - ate so slowly, so that we could take it all in!

We have always loved coming to the Weighbridge and having not been since the new owners took over which turns out to be 12+ months ago we visited the first Saturday in February with friends. We all picked the two in one pie in various guises. Mine was a steak n mushroom but I chose to have the root veg for a change and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As we were playing catch up with some friends we were probably the last to leave. There was no pressure put upon us which had certainly happened to us with the previous owners. In fact we chatted with the new landlady and she was very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely return.

I bought lovely fresh bread and organic butter however there are also health products, fresh vegetables etc.

We hired the whole venue for my wife’s 40th birthday, christo and team were brilliant from initial enquiry right through to helping empty the venue the next day, can’t recommend using it for any event enough, the cocktails are first class and all staff really helpful and friendly 😁😁👍🏼

Suggest you upgrade the room as otherwise it's likely to be very small. Im not sure what went wrong when we stayed. The reception desk is in the bar, so it can be a long wait for service. We were shown to an incorrect room, quickly resolved. However, due to a mistake in supply ordering by kitchen staff, further waiting in the restaurant ensued. only to find numerous dishes on the menu were not available.... after the 3rd choice was unavailable, I'd regretted not dining elsewhere. The staff do try hard under some difficult circumstances, however. The area is lovely, and the hotel has character.

such a wonderful pub, me and my boyfriend both had the shawarma and it was wonderful! lovely staff! lovely locals, dog friendly and just an amazing atmosphere. thank you !! will be back

Chips were disgusting only ate about 3 or 4. They had obviously been stood around for a while. Hard and chewy. Really put me off going there again.
