Great service, dog friendly.Lovely food

3rd time visiting the area and dining, first time staying in the inn, room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, didn’t have an evening meal as we were here for a funeral but spotted the sign on the bar saying they were fully booked which for midweek is a good sign!

Afternoon tea. Very slow service & poor selection of sweet treats as per middle tier on photo. Seated at 3.05pm, set menu afternoon tea served to us a minute short of an hour later at 4.04pm.

Excellent food and service in great ambience. Sunday roast in a country pub at its best.

What a lucky find this was for us having taken a wrong path in the forest! We arrived at opening time, midday, and were ready for a rest. We enjoyed a couple of pints from the wide choice on offer and ordered 2 baguettes. They came quickly and were absolutely delicious, fresh tasty rolls and well filled. We found everyone to be very friendly and they certainly welcomed our dog Lola with a smile. We would recommend.
