We visit regulary every few weeks the food thats served up looks very good and bags of it too.We usually go for the ploughmans lunch which never fails to please. The ingredients are very tasty and plenty of it.we have had all three variations of the ploughmans and they were all delicious.Highly reccomend this place you won't be disappointed.

A lovely Friday evening meal with friends. Trout portion was a bit small though

Pub closed 2021. Really sad that this pub closed in August 2021 and hasn't (yet) reopened under new ownership. Looks as if it's surrounded by security fencing pending redevelopment. Another lost pub 😢

The rudest landlady...don't bother giving your money to this pub! Walk a bit further to The Red Lion and be treated with curtsey.

We had dinner and breakfast here while staying at the premier inn next door. Both meals were meant to be booked by the hotel, probably a good job they weren’t full as neither table was booked. Our dinner was served by Lilla, she was super friendly and helpful, the food was average, my husband had the mixed grill and I had a steak, we also had a bottle of Shiraz and a couple of brandy and cokes. Breakfast was less than average, this isn’t the first brewers fayre we’ve been in lately that claims there’s a shortage in supply of orange juice and serves some nasty concoction of ‘tropical juice’ instead. The croissants and pastries were soggy, the cooked food wasn’t exceptional either. Overall the restaurant needs an update as it looks dated and a bit scruffy.
