The best restaurants serving British food in Shedfield Winchester South East

Lovely little pub. Unfortunately they weren't serving food when we were there last, but they did call us to inform us, which was nice of them

What you promote on the photo's... Castle , luxury, beautiful rooms .... It's all a lie... I got literally a stable room, full of mould , with a very strong smell of mould, extremely dirty carpets on the hole ways and extremely bad smells on the hole ways .... To find the room was another adventure that I didn't found it funny after 13 hours of work, not properly marked, as even to find the reception was a challenge as well. I personally don't recommend this place , and I stayed in all kind of hotels around the country.

We each had a carvery and enjoyed it very much, especially the beef and Yorkshire puddings, followed by a lovely mint chocolate Sundae and coffees for desert. Exceptionally good value for a midweek carvery at £9 each, and drinks very reasonably priced as well. All in all a very enjoyable meal, thanks!

This is a really good pub for beer drinkers. You don't know what they will have on but it always seems to be local ales which seem to always be lovely tasting and good value for money. Its a real old fashioned pub with very friendly staff. My favourite in this area.
