Tried Sunday lunch here recently….. used to live and drink there 20 years back and fancied paying a visit. Great pub with cosy atmosphere but Sunday food was very poor. Very cold, small quantity, runny gravy, flat under cooked Yorkshire pudding and a chunk of cabbage which was basically raw? Very weird. In fairness, deserts were nice and price was reasonable. But, you have to do better in a town of good competition Staff were very friendly and looked a little embarrassed by the food Sort the food and you’ll have a thriving pub in a great location worthy of repeat business. Please……..

My daughter and her friend shared their 13th birthday celebrations at The Ivy in Tunbridge Wells. Staff were attentive and made the girls feel very grown up and special. Jay and team were wonderful and even helped with mocktails and photos. They found space for us mums at the bar so we could also eat, but away from the girls. The girls enjoyed fish and chips, calamari and chocolate bombs. The mums enjoyed the Stilton soufflé. Apart from not being able to bring in our balloons (it would have been helpful for the ‘no balloons’ policy to be more prominent on the website), we had a wonderful time. Thank you Jay and team!

Enjoyed a lovely, relaxed brunch here with great food and faultless service. Nothing was too much trouble. The veggie breakfast was especially tasty and good value. The hotel’s elegant restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, helped by its log fire and cosy decor. And our window table had direct views onto The Pantiles, further helping to get us into the Christmas mood. Really recommend this pretty gem in the heart of TW.
