The best restaurants serving British food in Lydd Shepway South East

Our all time favourite fish and chip shop! When we drive down from London and The Verne is our first stop.

Tavern is attached to the Park Dean resort. Didn't stop for more than a needed drink on the outside tables. Inside tables all looked as if they needed a wipedown, even though the place was extremely quiet when we went.

Called in her for a coffee and cake after train ride it was disgusting tables sticky dirty and full of empty plates floor dirty needed good sweep and it was freezing cold in there air con must’ve been on full it was warmer outside very disappointing We had a scone that was dry and hard

Myself and my wife were feeling slightly hungry so decided to pop in and have a fish and chip lunch. When it arrived it was pretty poor. I ordered a small cod & chips and small it definitely was….and very greasy. I expected better quality at £14.25 per person. Wouldn’t waste my money here again.
