The best restaurants serving British food in Chipstead, Hooley and Woodmansterne Reigate and Banstead South East

Took 20 mins to take our drinks order and then a further 20 mins to receive them. Eventually placed food order of 4 starters and 7 roasts and was told 10 later that there was no chicken so 4 of us had to pick something else. Meals finally arrived 1hr 45 mins after arrival. Would we go back or recommend - afraid not.

Was there on Monday in the early afternoon. Bar service was slow. Attended for lunch, shared the cod and ham. Fish was great, ham was good. Was surprisingly full. Pleasant experience.

Very disappointed. We were a little late because the road was closed and we had to go a long way to get there, the lady behind the bar was not happy with us even after we apologised. The price of each of our meals was £18 so you expect a good standard. The fish in the fish and chips was very small and overcooked and the peas were barely warm. The fish pie had one king prawn in it and was served with 8 green beans and 2 halves of carrot. The aubergine gratin was burnt and when I asked for another one the waitress said it was supposed to look like that, but when I pointed out that its possible to cook it without burning it she took it away. All in all, it wasn't a nice experience and we certainly won't be going back.
