The best restaurants serving British food in Copnor Portsmouth South East

We popped in without a reservation on a Saturday lunchtime and luckily they had a table for us. The pub was buzzing with happy people, clearly lots of locals too which is always a good sign. We had three courses - hadn’t planned to but the food was just soooo good! The prawn cocktail was the best we’ve ever had, and mains were delicious. OH had sea bass and I had lambs liver. Both served piping hot and with fresh veg. One of my main beefs is when food isn’t hot enough. Not so here, well done Berkeley Arms. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for too. We live 20 mins away but we’ll most definitely be back!

We used The Pelham Arms as a post match venue after a game of hockey. We were met with friendly, helpful staff and there was plenty of room for the 30 or so guys who played. We had a reserved area & Dan supplied us with a tasty pot of chilli with tortilla chips, bread, cheese, chips & various sauces. Just what we needed on a cold day! There was plenty of food & Dan & his team were great hosts. The food was great value for money. I would recommend The Pelham Arms if you are organising a function or celebration. Thanks Dan

We had a lovely evening in the Golden Hind, the staff were very welcoming and the food was great. Very reasonable prices I would highly recommend

Met up with friends for a late breakfast, wasn’t disappointed lovely friendly service lots of great choices to choose from I went for the veg option tasty and a great selection, latte was lovely too will definitely be my go to cafe from now thanks Mehmet and staff 😊

A lovely meal, great waitress, Lauren, and a special birthday treat for Grandad as well as all of us this evening. An added bonus was the wonderful balloon creations made by the magician and balloon sculptor. What a skillful chap!!
