The best restaurants serving British food in Steyning Horsham South East

The biggest and best value breakfast you'll ever get in Sussex! Worth travelling to as we did. We had one extra large full English and one vegan breakfast (with the best vegan sausages I've tasted). We've also been here for lunch and had huge, filled jacket potatoes. Whatever you order will last you all day! Just one negative, it was cold inside on a cold day, slightly too uncomfortable to stay for long.

Having decided after a month out of the UK I wanted to go somewhere with my daughter for a Sunday Roast. Although a 30 minute drive I wanted to go to The Fountain. I was not disappointed! Alex and his charming wife made us so welcome. The pub was very very busy but all staff attentive. I had roast lamb and my daughter a nut roast. Both delicious. The roast potatoes were amazing!! Very crispy with fluffy inside. Loads of yummy lamb, fresh assorted fresh vegetables and the side of cauliflower cheese excellent. I asked for some extra gravy which came very promptly. We had a little wait for our food but the pub was very busy and it was certainly worth it. I go to many places for Sunday Roast and this was one of the best. Will certainly recommend and will be back !!

It was my first visit to Steyning and I had heard of Truffles bakers as being a good bakers, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised as there was also a sit down cafe, so I decided to have lunch. The menu was what I expected from a small cafe, breakfast, jacket potato with filings, sandwiches. I ordered a jacket potato with tuna and cheese with a coffee iced cream milkshake, my order arrived promptly, the jacket potato was an oven cooked jacket and had a good amount of filing and came with a side salad, it was yummy and filling.
