The best restaurants serving British food in Thames Ditton Elmbridge South East

A late review for our parish Christmas lunch - nigh on 40 of us sat down to our Christmas lunch in the function room again. The room looked good, the food was good and the service just what one wanted, and everyone enjoyed themselves. I eat here from time to time, and I am impressed by how the quality of the food, especially the simple things, does not fall away when the Angel caters for a large number. My particullar point of reference is the roast potatoes - so often a weak spot in mass catering - the roast potatoes here are good, and they are just as good when they are cooking them for 40. I fully expect that we will be back next Christmas

Great for Sunday breakfast, good food, great service and dog friendly. We had an English breakfast, Avacado and bacon on toast, a smoothie, orange juice and cappuccino for £37 which seems reasonable

Just back from a lovely meal at this relaxing place - a birthday and they lit the fire for us! Very nice food, very reasonable prices we thought and very good service. Perfect on a chilly evening, but would also be great on a warm day outside by the river. This is a traditional, very old place and deserves your custom! Many thanks and we will definitely be back. Ps good for a gathering, but I also thought it would be very nice for a solo drink/snack/meal with something to read. Great place!

Sat by the Thames on a lovey sunny day the view was amazing watching the rowers and boats go by the food was home cooked and very tasty and the staff friendly and attentive, Even sat ourside in the top area was table service.
