The best restaurants serving British food in Dartford South East

This is hopefully a helpful critic, not a spiteful comment. The lasagne I bought for tonughts evening meal for two, at a cost of about £9.00 was dreadfully. It was swimming in lots of cooking oil, very similar to the Gee often found in Indian how meals. I had to drain off much of this liquid & use three sheets of kitchen paper to Soak up some of the remainder once placed on plates. The layered pasta sheets were far to soft brought about no doubt by the quantity of oil in the plastic container. The meat itself was quite tasty & seasoned well but the whole experience made & my wife feel quite nauseast. I have also purchased the round pork pies & the short crust pastry is like eating cardboard, with too much seasoning within the meat itself. Hopefully my comments will be seen as being constructive & are not designed to be otherwise. Regards.

You know how a cup of tea away from home is never as good as at home? Well that’s not the case at All Day Cafè in Dartford, it’s just a good as home made. I usually get a bacon sarnie and they’re not skimpy with the bacon, which is great. Those huge plates of sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, black pudding etc, look amazing too and it’s always bustling with local people - a good sign. I highly recommend this excellent place. Keep up the good work ADC!

The Sunday dinners was terrible roast potatoes were black and soggy not crispy as described on the menu. A tea spoonful of cabbage. Myself or family would not ever order a roast dinner there again. Set waiting for the order an hour and a 1/2 for the dinner.

Rebekah was absolutely amazing! She was single-handedly running the whole bar—taking orders, serving drinks, and delivering food—with a constant smile and such a positive attitude. It’s rare to see someone juggle so much and still make every customer feel valued. I truly hope her company recognises what a gem she is. Total superstar! Popular local pub quite busy drinks reasonably priced, and have meal and drinks specials over all food is not too bad and comes out fast good for a afternoon lunch.

10 of us, including 4 children under 7, went to the Ship Inn for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. The meals were lovely and even though they were very busy, the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Family function. Fantastic afternoon celebrating Mum's birthday. Kyle made us so welcome, going the extra mile to sort some music and even set us up a slide show of photos. We will I have no doubt be using it again. Thank you Kyle 😊

Having eaten here on previous occasions and been very happy with the food, we were disappointed today. There were 5 of us and 2 people had fish and chips. The chips were cold and the fish poor standard. I had a piece of Frittata with salad.The Frittata was fine but the salad choice was very limited and uninspiring unlike the choice on previous visits. What has gone wrong ?

Took a chance as we hadn't booked for lunch and so glad we did. Great choice of food and very reasonable prices. Served quickly at the bar and food followed without too long a delay despite them being busy serving Christmas lunches. Nice and hot, very tasty and generous portions. We all enjoyed it thoroughly and will definitely visit again

Expensive, child noisy, screaming. My waffle was not a home made one and not warm. A family place not for quiet chat with Friends.

Perfectly functional venue selling reasonable snacks (not the cheapest) but traffic seem efficient and organised. Clean and serviceable.
