The best restaurants serving British food in Tankerton Canterbury South East

Excellent food! Was skeptical at first since it was a little out of the main town and the spot seemed quiet (but then again we were visiting on a particularly gloomy day when trains weren’t working as normal) BUT it was so so so worth it. Everything was delicious. I’d 100% visit again.

Great food for an impromptu breakfast for a family member’s breakfast. There was a constant flow of people so would recommend getting there early. Generous portion sizes and good service.

I was unable to climb the stairs,it was a struggle, it's just i was hoping for maybe a lift,🤔

Oh dear! Upon arrival for a business meeting early in the morning, we asked if we could take breakfast, having spent a considerable time travelling to the venue. The waitress said ‘oh, I dunno, I think you can get some’ so we asked if we could sit at a table in the dining area, only to be told ‘no, it’s just for guests’ (all 2 of them!) Then with some sort of hand gesture from her hip she said ‘you can sit here’ pointing to a grubby table nearby! We sat and ordered coffee and toast. This arrived, 2’pieces or barely coloured bread with a small pot of butter which was sour as hell, we were then offered marmalade to disguise the disgusting taste of the butter. Some almost warm coffee was served and the waitress shuffled off again. Not one staff member was friendly or chirpy, None of them appeared to be enamoured with the morning shift. The table was disgusting with large sticky patches left by drinkers the night before. The hotel was cool and unwelcoming, I think we were more of an inconvenience than anything. Wont return, won’t recommend either

Had such a great night! The bar staff was super! We met the lovely owners Richard and Bobbie what a pleasure it was to meet such lovely people and lovely faces! Great atmosphere! And that view is just incredible! Good prices for drinks! All rounder fantastic evening! Will definitely be coming again! If you’re in the Whitstable area I absolutely recommend this beautiful bar!
