You will not find a friendlier bar. Great afternoon listening to the open mic crew. Fantastic!

Just back from a quick visit to enjoy the wonderful view and the early evening live music on the large balcony. Definitely be returning. Shame we couldn't stay for the food and evening live music.

Do not be fooled, this place has recently been taken over by new owners and it is not to be missed, live music and the most amazing Sunday roast three course platter. Must book I think?? There are few places in Whitstable with this view over the sea, let alone with the food to die for. Richard and his staff are warm, friendly and more than accommodating. I’m reluctant to post a review as it’s still our hidden gem, stay for the sunset and chilled vibes but if I come for a drink please give up your seat 😂❤️

This is a lovely venue if you want to relax on the balcony taking in the sunset. On my visit i didnt have food so cant rate. But previously i have eaten there and never been disappointed, however since new management its more on the pricey side.

Went in this place with the wife and grandson (who is 5 years old). Sat on the outside glass fronted veranda, nice views and well protected from the breeze. Ordered fish and chips X2 - at £13.00 each !! And chicken nuggets and chips for the Grandson, plus two coffees and a soft drink…Total bill was £37.30…and they came to get the money off us before we even had the coffees…!! Not surprised as it happens, the chicken nuggets and chips were in a basket, not on a plate, and our fish and chips were in a cardboard box… I don’t know what fish it is we were served, but I know it was not Cod (as advertised on the menu). It fell apart into mush when you tried to cut it, and had no taste whatsoever…the batter was nice though…!! Same with the chips, which were oven chips i believe… it was pretty nasty really…I certainly will not be using this place again, and I am NOT recommending it, and won’t be taking anyone else there…Major rip-off…!!

Such lovely friendly people, Rich and his partner made a quick visit to the seaside a very enjoyable experience (even if I was forced to drink beer due to lack of coffee! Lol), which turned into an overnight stay! Now looking for a flat in the area, lol. Iain

Sat out on the deck one evening with friends and enjoyed a drink while listening to the live band. Great atmosphere. Nice friendly people working there.

Another drinking establishment changed hands and gone all gentrified in Whitstable. Used to be a working-class sports bar. Now they have Pride flags behind the bar. Nothing wrong, per se, with either concept. Look at my rating: I liked it. So did my friend. But does show how things haved changed.

Nope. Definitely not open. That's no problem except it says it is... a bit disappointing when tripadvisor says you are open but you aren't. You need to update them don't you.

A lovely location; enjoy the great views whilst tucking into fish & chips whilst siting outdoors looking out across the beach. Very chilled, relaxed atmosphere; good portions food-wise and reasonably priced too; attentive/friendly staff and great service all combine to ensure an enjoyable dining experience, all in all.

This has to be one of the friendliest places i have ever visited, the staff are always smiling and helpful. It's got the best balcony for watching the superb sunsets. The food is excellent, i can't recommend this place highly enough, can't wait to go back in the future

I only ordered beers so cannot comment on the food. But look at the views. Must go if good weather. Friendly staff and nice location.

Absolutely the best fish and chips I've ever had.

Location, location, location.. and Dog friendly too... So, we found this beautiful place in a prime spot overlooking the sea whilst walking from Seaview Holiday Park into Whitstable.. fabulous outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink or two with our dogs. The staff were ever so helpful and friendly. The toilets were clean. There was hand sanitiser available. Whilst we didn't eat, the food on other people's tables both smelt and looked lovely. The menu prices looked reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our bottle of wine in the sun. Plus there was drinking water available to stay hydrated. Overall.... utterly fabulous, we would return if in the area.

Easily the best view of the sea from a pub in Whitstable, with a large outdoor terrace to soak up the sun over some drinks. The food and drinks are pretty standard pub grub and the interior isn't to my personal taste, but that's not what you're coming here for. The staff were friendly and service was great, we will be back time and time again. Dog friendly 🐕

Lovely views but seating area was so uncomfortable. Such potential this place of they invested more in furniture. Feels a bit like a service station. Staff are great though.

Just had lunch here, wouldn’t eat here again, jacket potato with chilli and cheese was cold, fish and chips - chips some were not cooked properly fish really greasy on plate loved the varanda outside to have a drink next time just have a drink then it’s lovely here

Nice aspect on first floor veranda overlooking coast, comfortable deck, ok for people watching as they walk the seafront path, meal was slow coming but expected as Whitstable Oyster festival in full swing, food of good standard staff did their best to accommodate us.

Didn't eat here but 5* for the unrivalled view.

Really poor service. No one to greet us on arrival, bar maid ignored us. We took ourselves to a table and borrowed a menu from the table nearby. Went to bar to order and was abruptly told table service only. We waited 15 mins at table - no service. Asked again at bar to send someone out for our order and after another 10 minutes still no none arrived so we left. Shocking that in August they seem to have one waitress and one bar staff for about 20 tables.

I like this venue as it serves good food and has a wide range of drinks on offer. There’s a great view of the beach if seated on the outside balcony. This is my main choice if watching live football. It has decent seating & it’s never crowded. The service is very good, the staff are always friendly and attentive.

Really bad experience in this place. Fish and Chips really poor, substandard. It is the first time that we visit a restaurant in the seaside and the Chips are frozen . Fish greasy , that my stomach is feeling sick . Honestly avoid at all costs .

Bought some take-out Cod and Chips (x2) with a Cajun Chicken Burger for my dad... the meal was fantastic and cooked fresh. Will definitely come back again.. :-)

Always a great visit - the view is one of the best in Whitstable, sit and people watch from the glass fronted terrace. Food is popular, not overly expensive - good standard pub grub. Be going back soon.

Lovely little place with a great view of the sea. The service was great and after the experience I had down the road earlier in the day it was nice to have something edible again. I only had a baguette as I was still feeling a little sensitive but our friends' fish and chips looked SO much better than the one I'd had previously. My only issue is that despite there being a designated smoking area, other tables were smoking as well which is simply revolting when we are all forced to eat outside at the moment.

Went three or four times during summer and every time the service was extremely friendly and efficient, the cleanliness and Virus rulings immaculate, the drinks faultless and the fish and chips way, way better than the norm for Whitstable. And excellent value for money. Cannot believe the few negative reviews here. I can only assume they come from sad people with a grudge.

Staff were excellent, very patient and professional on a very busy day with a full restaurant. COVID procedures excellent. Made sure we signed in before entering the place and direction signs on doors and floor. Everything was sanitised before you sat down and after you left. Food was great and a pretty varied menus given the current circumstances. Can't praise them enough

I have no idea what the reviews below are about! Just spent a couple of hours here, a return visit we have enjoyed over the last 7 years or so. Never experienced bad service or food/Hygeine and the waitresses couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming. At no time, have we ever experienced anyone complaining and the food reasonably priced and all prices on show. Makes you wonder who wrote these recent reviews!? Highly recommended, for food, staff, safety and well-being. We will come back, always. Paula, our waitress, couldn’t be more accommodating or smiley. Thank you, and ignore the haters. Clearly have their own agenda.

The tables aren’t clean and they charge extra money for London visitors. Not a friendly place. The toilets are disgusting. They ignore social distancing and use the same cloth on the tables as the bathroom!

Great place to go. Excellent Covid segregation with a great atmosphere with really nice chatty staff. Lovely fish and chips and the burgers are something else. I love a good pint of Guinness and wasn't disappointed sitting on the decking watching the world go by unfortunately it was cut short by the rain.

We visited this restaurant on 08.08.20. We received an extremely poor service. If you are black or of an ethnic minority avoid this restaurant at all cost! Based on our experience they do not want black people there, they do not accommodate black people and they will turn you away if you are a person of colour. It was a very disgraceful and unpleasant experience.

Never spent so much on a portion of fish and chips in a box. Nearly £45 for 3 portions (quite small as well) of fish and chips and 3 drinks. Could have got over it if they were good, but what a disappointment. Chips were ok, not amazing, but not too bad, but the fish was so overcooked that it was like eating a slab of batter. There were 3 of us and we all left quite a lot of it. Good job portions were small on this occasion, as was less to throw in the bin. On top of that, asked for ketchup, told its in the box and it was tartare sauce. Never again. If in Whitstable and want fish and chips, don’t waste your money here, go to Ossies in town.

Terrible food, blatantly overcharged us and then told us they'd run out of what we had ordered, no refund of the difference, nothing. Food tasted of old frying oil, no bottle of mayonnaise or ketchup, just a cheap satchet. Just disgraceful

Came to enjoy a breakfast around 11am and they only sold lunch food which was either burger or fish and chips. Chose the burger which arrived 30 minutes later... it was burnt and had zero taste. Literally was like it came from the Spa shop. No one bothered to check on me if I was ok once my food had arrived and I ha to call someone over in the end to which one of they dopey waitresses turned up and looked at me blankly. I stated how bad the burger was and there was no apology, just a blank face and even said ‘well you didn’t even eat it?’ - the worst service ever. Oh and dirty glasses. Don’t bother, the view isn’t worth the really shoddy service from the thickest waitresses.
