Excellent selection of drinks, views over the sea. Nice scampi and pint of Harvey's. Short afternoon visit, nice pint of Guinness. Membership required. Another nice pint of Guinness in the sun on the patio looking south out to sea. Nice pint of Harvey's and bowl of scampi. Nice ambience, looking at the sea. Good pint of real ale. Scampi and chunky chips with a perfect pint of Guinness. Very nice. Friendly staff. Watched the rugby on the big screen. Nice atmosphere, good pint of Guinness and zero per cent Guinness. Good atmosphere as usual, and England beat France in a close game of rugby.

Since the new owner took over I’ve become a regular - the sandwiches are so nice and with *so* much filling, they’re such good value compared to most places. The owner is really friendly and accommodating and I can usually park outside.

Poplar little roadside cafe on the A259 road Hove. Poplar with Trades people. Opens from 6am and closes at 1pm. Appears to good value meals ranging from Full breakfast to salads and scampi and chips and Rolls to order if required . Always hot and tasty Lovely staff always very pleasant

It has a great vibe in a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend this pub. I will absolutely be coming back for food as the menu looks fab.

Wish I could leave more than 5 Stars !! The George Payne - you absolutely smashed burns night. Second year we have been and hoping you will be doing it again next year. Staff happily accommodated a few tweaks to dishes that some of us wanted with no fuss. Nothing seemed like it was any effort or trouble. Food was excellent and the bag piper was a great touch to complete the experience !! Well done to all involved with laying on such a great night !
