The best restaurants serving British food in Arnside and Beetham South Lakeland North West

The worst chippy I’ve been to, microwaved pies, dry chips and peas look like they had been regurgitated. Never going again. If I could give zero I would.

Fantastic service, beautiful place and tasty food. Visited with my four year old, which could have been stressful but the staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The afternoon tea looked incredible and would have expected to pay a lot more for such quality. Very big thank you and we can’t wait to come back.

Lovely hot day and popped in for two ice creams. One waffle cone with two scoops and one cone with one scoup. £8.10 and the ice creams were very small. The lady serving used a small scoup not much bigger than a teaspoon! Won't be going again!!

I don’t live in the area, but when I’m nearby on holiday I like to pop into Beetham garden centre for a coffee and a snack. Recently myself and my husband decided we would have a meal there and we had high hopes of something good, due to having previously eaten in the Wood fired pizza place next door to the main restaurant. However, we were sorely disappointed. We ordered cheese and onion pie with chips, the chips were pale, dry and not thoroughly cooked, the pie was a soggy mess and for me at least, the red cabbage with quite a lot of vinegary juice was not the best accompaniment. The total with a tea and a bottle of lemonade was around £35, not value for money. I think I’ll stick to coffee and cake on my next visit.

Situated in the beautiful place that is Arnside, this cute bakehouse was a fantastic find for our breakfast of sausage bap and a piece of cake with coffee on our trip along the coast. Delicious and served with a smile, this place offers a variety of pies and pasties to take away as well as a varied menu to suit all tastes. Lovely place

Beautiful evening, walked here for food which is advertised as being served on Fridays till 8pm. Tried to order meal at the bar at 6.45 to be told ‘we’ve stopped serving food’ packed outside with potential customers so why?
