The best restaurants serving British food in Dalston Carlisle North West

Met up here for breakfast before setting out for outdoor adventures. all the food was nice. Not being able to substitute things at breakfast is a bit odd. I can't eat mushrooms and detest cooked tomato, pretty much anywhere else if you knock off two things the server would ask if youd like another egg or whatever, but I suppose its not a dealbreaker. Pleasant staff. Will return

Returned back to the plough inn today for Sunday lunch again,food was amazing I chose lamb shank with all the trimmings, veg were perfect,lamb fell off the bone.staff and service we received were brill,so welcoming and attentive,dog friendly with lovely beer garden to enjoy a sneaky prosecco!!had to try the homemade briscoff cheescake to follow,just perfect will defo be back...👍

The food was not worth the price at all,burger was served just by itself as I asked for no red onion not even a bit off lettuce or salad in sight!my husbands lasagne was so hard on top he could barely cut through it also the chicken fajitas were chewy and unedible and served with a wrap which was stone cold as if straight from the fridge,will most definitely not be back

Good pub,reasonable prices, good service, clean and always warm, the menu is your average pub grub, it's hot and plentiful,
