The best restaurants serving British food in Millfield Sunderland North East

I am reviewing the casino. We waited so long for Grosvenor to reopen this casino. It was fantastic. managements welcomed us. All staff greeted us. I can honestly say this casino has the best staff ever and we have been to quite a few up and down the country. No matter how busy they get we are always treated with respect and staff are always courteous. There are many a casino could learn a lot from Sunderland. Covid precautions excellent. Made us feel safe and secure totally understood our anxieties.All wore masks and constant cleaning, Cant praise them enough. thank-you.

Well worth a visit, do really nice food, band nights on Saturdays, games nights on Sundays, Quiz and bingo Thursday and cheap nights Mondays. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. As you can tell we go often, oooh and the beer and drinks are really reasonable!

We only stumbled upon this little gem recently, but it has become one of our absolute favourites! Especially for a spot of lunch. The cafe does real home cooked foods, from beautiful sunday roasts to an amazing chilli con carne. And don't even get me started on the home-made chips! The nostaglia this place makes you feel every - single - time is amazing. Anyone remember Dave's Cafe that was in sunderland town? Just a little cafe, nothing fancy, you got your cheesy chips and pop while your nana played on the slots after her 13th cup of coffee. Although there is no arcade, this place gives you full Daves Cafe vibes! Cheap and cheerful, with delicous food everytime. And a welcoming, friendly team of staff to top it all off! A point to add, I am currently pregnant and the staff have been amazing constantly allocating for all of my little craving whims! For the price, roughly £5-6 for a full meal, you CANNOT beat Taste Buds!

Was here recently for drinks with son and grandson and the food and service was very good atmosphere nice and frienly,be going bavk again definately.😊

I eat here often as i work locally. I find the choice of food to be varied and look forward to the welcoming smile of the Owners/Staff. I believe this is the best 'Sandwich Shop' in Sunderland and would highly recommend.

Reservamos para un almuerzo pre-teatro el sábado de la Semana del Restaurante Sunderland diciéndoles que queríamos que el acuerdo solo fuera dicho por el gerente del restaurante que no estaban ofreciendo el acuerdo esa hora del almuerzo, a pesar de que todavía decía en el sitio web de la Semana del Restaurante Sunderland que estaba disponible en todo momento. Su actitud no era apologética y rozaba un poco agresiva. Como estábamos limitados de tiempo optamos por quedarnos a cenar fuera del menú principal. La elección no fue particularmente buena y todos decidimos tomar sándwiches. Dos de nosotros tuvimos que cambiar nuestro orden porque no había pastrami. El servicio de comida era muy lento y cuando llegó fue muy decepcionante. Los sándwiches de queso tostado eran diminutos y los sándwiches de ternera se servían en un rancio - bollo de hamburguesa ish con un pequeño frotis de rábano picante salsa unas cuantas hojas de lechuga. Nos preguntaron si queríamos salsas adicionales y pedimos un poco de encurtido que llegó a mitad de comer el sándwich en un plato pequeño - no se hizo mención de que sería un costo adicional que descubrimos cuando llegó la factura era de 50 p.m. Las camareras eran muy agradables y parecía un poco avergonzado sobre toda la situación, pero el gerente del restaurante era muy distraído e incluso ligeramente agresivo. Teniendo en cuenta que este restaurante se encuentra en una ubicación privilegiada situada en un nuevo centro de arte y junto al teatro en el corazón de la regeneración de Sunderland, es un anuncio muy pobre para la ciudad y creemos que habríamos tenido una mejor relación calidad-precio y experiencia en el Wetherspoons local.

The staff , shelley and Louise and manageress Sarah were very accomidating, so friendly and polite. They made my dogs welcome, and the dogs loved their breakfast. Will definitely be returning. 😃
