The best restaurants serving British food in Nightingale Wandsworth London

Hemos estado yendo a Chez Bruce durante varios años y queríamos dejar un comentario para nuestra última comida. Elegimos esto ya que es un lugar especial en nuestros corazones, el menú siempre es difícil de elegir, los vinos siempre un éxito, si lugar el queso debe tener. Deben habernos escuchado hablar de nuestra última vez aquí después de años y recibimos un regalo especial. Un excelente restaurante lleno de generosidad y honestidad. ¡Lo extrañaré mucho!

We just had the most wonderful birthday party for our little girl’s 2nd birthday at Bertie & Boo over the weekend ☺️ Kudos to Sam and the team members for being so helpful and meticulous in making sure all the guests were well-taken care of. A big thank you to Boo for entertaining the kids and making the day so fun for everyone 🤗 We had received so many compliments from our guests that the party was really well-run and all the kids had enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend Bertie & Boo if you are looking for a venue for your kid’s birthday!

Food was rubbish. The rump steak was greasy, did not taste good and had been run over by a car before being served. Drinks were good and the staff were nice, but it was so busy at the bar, so couldn’t be bothered to wait 20 mins to complain about the steak. Should really be following up at the table when serving food, if it’s too busy don’t serve food.

The service has deteriorated so much, and the food is not much better. I used to go to the Hope alot, but I doubt that I will return. You simply cannot run a local pub like this. The staff seem pretty disinterested and not well trained. I don't know what has gone wrong, or why the staff are not customer focussed anymore, but the Hope needs to rethink their approach. I appreciate times are hard for pubs, but skimping on training and staff will leak regulars to the other excellent pubs in the area.
