Thank you Molly! We really enjoyed our Sunday roast.

Meg took care of us during the meal, which wasn't easy beacause we're French, but everyone did their best and we understood each other well! Impeccable service and very good food, we highly recommend it. Warm welcome and great atmosphere!

Said to our waitress that it was the best roast dinner we had there in a while and he said they had new chefs in the kitchen so well done new chefs. Chicken was tender and moist and beef was tender. Vegetables and roast potatoes cooked nicely.

Went there for a birthday Sunday dinner, The food was very good, although very small portions my wife did have a moan ab.option . By small even the vegetables were very small portions as well as the meat.

5 stars all round, lovely little pub, really good food, pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. Sunday roast is a must try.

First visit to the wheatsheaf and I would definitely come back. We had the most amazing roast dinner and desserts. The team are lovely, helpful and polite. Mathew was very attentive and delivered great customer service. Nice vibe and atmosphere. Look forward to returning:)

My wife and I have just moved back to Tooting and made going back to the Wheatsheaf our immediate priority. This is still one of the best pubs in south london.

In a crowded market of chain pubs and soulless beer gardens, the Wheatsheaf in Tooting is an absolute breath of fresh air. Since moving to the area the pub has become my local, fitting of a plethora of social gatherings and providers of some proper tasty locally sourced grub and good beer (the cocktails aren't bad too!). The Wheatsheaf has given us great times on many occasion, whether that be catching a friend in town, sampling the best Sunday Roast I've had this side of the river or getting swept up in the euphoria of the European championships. The quiz and open mic's are also worthy of a mention here, all part of the huge efforts the staff take to create a real sense of community and energy. Whilst under the umbrella of a larger vision and management team (Urban Pubs), the place boasts character and individual charm. The sticky toffee pudding will always be my favourite, and shoutout to Ali who has served us brilliantly on many day, his personal touch really leaves a lasting impression. A lovely city pub whatever you need, and a nice place for an ice cold Guinness.

The whole atmosphere and team were incredible, the pub is always so clean and tidy and classy!! Special mention the blonde hostess who allowed us to move tables when we were a bit cold a huge thank you to Al, his service was personable and so genuine and he made our day very special. We will 100% be back for another Sunday roast and drinks! Thank you all x

Came here for a Sunday roast on a recommendation from a mate and wasn’t disappointed. Roasts were huge and tasty, service was awesome, fast and attentive, and the prices weren’t shocking. Had the pork, my gf had the nut roast, and we shared the cauliflower cheese. Utterly stuffed afterwards and unable to reach for the dessert menu. Would highly recommend! Ali was our host and was fantastic

Been a regular customer here for over 2 years now, and it's really grown on me. The food here is truly amazing, from the Sunday roasts to the pastas to the pizza and to other meat and vegetarian dishes. The staff here, including Kevin, James x2, Steve, Emily, Madz, Helen, Esther, Kirsty, Clara, Alex, Emma, Craig, Enrico, Dan, Lewis, Nick, Ali, Jack, Millie, Skye, Zarry, Nicky, Brock, Cat, Grainne and Amy Kay have been nothing but amazing to me. The overall vibe is really good, with a good crowd of patrons while not overwhelmingly rowdy, so a very happy medium when you don't wanna go full throttle on a Friday night out! Lastly there's also speed dating events and open mics(aka Loft Sessions) alternating every Tuesday, as well as quiz nights on Sundays, so it's a great sociable environment here, and I can't recommend the Wheatsheaf enough. So instead of saying the cliché "I'll come back" as I do it far too many times and will continue to do so, I shall say:"This is my port of call!"

We dropped into The Wheatsheaf for a drink and ended up staying for dinner and a bottle of wine. What a gem. The staff were so attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and a particular mention for the fish and chips. The chips were thick and fluffy, and the fish batter was lovely and crispy. We’ll be back very soon.

First time visit but won't be last. Nice local pub

Lovely pub, with unique decor. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is delicious and has a great portion size. Really filling especially the Salted Beef Reuben. Highly recommended.

An old haunt and one that has changed in menu and atmosphere, with no complaints. Fantastic service, from Matthew, great food and lovely back garden setting. Highly recommended.

I came for lunch with an old friend and had some small plates which were perfect for an al fresco meal. Our waiter Matthew was charming and added enormously to a very good Thursday.

Very lively and the Brixton beer was good too.

We all had the roast dinner selection . Great location on a busy crossroads. Fantastic interior. Staff very helpful. Great vegetarian choice . We had the roast beef rump cap , the vegetables and potatoes really first class , the only down side was the quality of the beef , it was not very good , Great Yorkshires.

Very good prebooked slow roasted lamb with all the trimmings served by excellent team at The Wheatsheaf. Food was accompanied by excellent red wine and drinks too.

Used to be a better pub when it had a big lounge area round the back. Now a glorified gastro pub. Quite a posh rugby crowd in there these days. Benches out the front and a beer garden out the back. Functions upstairs. Lively crowd in there but all a bit meh in spite of it.

Superb food with attentive staff in a very clean and well decorated Victorian pub. We'd definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf. Particularly enjoyed the Arancini on the Saturday and the Tiramisu on Sunday. The 28 day aged Hereford beef for Sunday lunch was beautiful.

The Wheatsheaf is my local pub and always have a great time when visiting. On my recent visit for a Sunday roast, the service was super speedy and very friendly, the food itself was delicious and portions were good. Enjoyed the chicken roast dinner and basque cheesecake - it was great. No doubt we’ll be returning in the near future and would recommend for anyone in the area, whether for food or for a drink in a great pub with a nice buzz.

Visited this pub twice during the weekend, on the Saturday night when it was very busy, loud and buzzing with people enjoying a night out. Despite the crowd service at the bar was efficient. The next day we went for a Sunday roast lunch at 12.30 and the place had been completely transformed, tables beautifully laid out awaiting diners. The roast was one of the best I've ever eaten in a pub, good vegetarian options and if you didn't fancy a roast the pizza menu gave you plenty of choices. Can't wait to go back.

Great Sunday lunch. Came back again for the lamb shoulder. Craig, looked after our group and we all left with full stomachs.

Food poor in terms of quality, especially the beef. All far too expensive. £6.80 for a pint! Fish, more batter than fish! Plenty dogs!

I liked it but not enough to go back. It’s a great huge classic London pub of which there are quite a few in the area, many are better. Liked the staff and food was ok but it’s just a tad dull.

A huge pub in Tooting with a restaurant and beer garden towards the back. There's a private room upstairs too where you can often see live music. The food is incredible, and the staff are extremely welcoming, efficient, and friendly.

A popular local pub serving delicious Sunday roast and gourmet foods through out the week. The food are good value and sumptuous. Good portion size, including children menu. Apart from the usual sport and football, it's a popular for the locals to hang out after work. Services is good when it's not too busy. Highly recommended.

English pub situated bang opposite the Tooting bec underground station. We stopped for a cheeky pint which quickly became three. There was live music when we went and the singer was good enough to get the crowd going. Was fun while it lasted. Do visit if in the hood.
